Count-A-Licious Toddler is an app designed for children from 18 months to 3 years. The app introduces the concept of counting by 1s, counting by 2s, and number recognition. There are four games to play – Number Show, Counting Game, Tracing Game, and Treasure Crits, plus a Counting Song video that children can watch and sing along to.

In Number Show, dancing graphics and music introduce numbers 1 though 30 and encourages toddlers to count aloud, while Counting Game features delightful images and encourages toddlers to physically tap and count objects. Tracing Game gives toddlers their first exposure to number writing by guided tracing with their fingers. All these games lead up to a reward screen, where users are able to play with interactive virtual pets called Treasure Crits.

There is a trial version called count a licious toddler lite. It is very well made and easy to use for my 2 year old. No ads even on free version! no silly facebook link. no prompting you to review apps. no unnecessary things that cause toddler frustration. Perfect ! Very engaging and interactive activities. Count 1-5 in free version. 1-20 in full. Full version comes with 4 sets of numbers 1-5. 6-10. 11-15. 16-20. click on pictures to count. then put the number in train car. train makes choo choo sound. also learn to trace number. For bigger numbers each time you press to count the picture slowly disappear. that way your kid wont get confused as to which one was pressed which one wasn't. Oh you also can customize up to 3 kids and 1 guest. Each game set comes with reward critter in the end. They are kept in a pinball like area. I let my 2 year old son plays with the trial version and was surprised he earned like 15 critters. this mean he plays it a lot. for 99 cents I am surprised how well made this game is made. you wont regret this! I hope there aremore licious apps later

Stupid name; WONDERFUL counting app for numbers 1-20

I have been downloading every relevant educational app I can find for my boys. This one is now the new math favorite for my littlest two. Looks fabulous on my Kindle Fire -- fun and exciting for little ones with very different items to count and animation as they count. Seriously -- one of the best apps I have seen, mixing writing, counting, matching, identification skills, etc., together in appropriate ways. (My favorite is the instruments.)

One of my boys kept stalling the number trace exercise (not sure why). If you click on the color palette and change to a new color, it will restart that same number without having to exit the screen.

My only criticism -- and it's small -- is that the number six counts several paired items as one item (for example, two elbow pads = one item; two shoes = one item). I noticed it immediately, but my little ones didn't. Could have easily been avoided by having the paired items counted separately.

Still -- DEFINITELY one of the best pre-school math apps available. Hope this developer will continue to bring out new apps.

Grandson loves this! He is 2YO and will play this game for hours it has taught him a lot! The kindle is wonderful for him.

Don't bother if you have the lite version

I bougth the lite version to see if I liked the app before diving in to purchase the full version. I really did like the game for my 20 month old. The lite only goes up to number 5- the full is suppose to go up to 20- but when I upgraded it was never sent to my kindle. I waited 10 days then called Amazon for a refund (since I purchased it twice thinking the first one didn't take). Thanks to Amzon for having great customer service. I am not going to try to upgrade again since it was never digitally sent.

Fun, not perfect

Worth the price. The graphics are fun, the music is fun, the activities keep moving. I like that for tracing they have the child write the letter how they would in school - top to bottom.

Cons: The audio is poorly mixed. The SFX are so loud they drown out the narrator saying the numbers, making the app kind of useless in that regard. Also, there's no test or challenge mode. This is a number review, so it isn't a necessity, but it would be nice.

teaches and has games about numbers 1 thru 20.....first the child is shown objects that correspond to the number ...and each one has some type of activity attached...for example for the number 6...there is a boy and your child has to put 6 pieces of clothes on him....for the number 2...they are told to touch the 2 children....the numbers are taught in groups of 5...The things I dont like about this app is that after each lesson of 5 numbers...the screen goes to Next or Repeat (or retry)...My granddaughter cant read so instead of choosing next she picks retry and goes backwards...I wish it would just go through the entire lesson and then ask or have the option to repeat. Also you have to insert the child's name to start the game...there are 4 choices which is fine...but its very easy for the child to change the name or erase it...also to choose the wrong one and have to start the app over....Other than that the app is good if you can keep your child from repeating the same section over and over..(although I guess that is learning also)...My grandchild is 2 and 1/2 and enjoys it.

Super easy to navigate and my 2 year old loves to play. This is one of my favorite educational apps that we have purchased for my 2 year old to use. A very creative and entertaining way for my toddler to learn to count and recognize numbers.

My 2 1/2 year old boy loves this game. I thought he would be bored with it after a few times since he can complete the entire game in around 15 minutes, but he still requests to play the " bee " game. I feel that it is educational in addition to being entertaining, and my boy can operate it by himself.
