iRewardChart makes it easy to reward your children for good behavior and keep them motivated.

1. Type their name,
2. Select a few tasks from our list of suggestions, and
3. Reward their accomplishments with a single tap in the weekly chart
(* The sync between devices got launched on iOS platform, and is coming to Android soon)
-----------------------------------------------------------------

When stars have been earned, your child can pick from the default list of suggested rewards, or you can setup your own custom rewards especially tailored for each of your children, like "$2 Pocket Money" or "One Hour Of TV".

Children love to feel responsible, challenged and respected. But most children don't like being told what to do... iRewardChart also allows you to set up abstract goals like "Patience" and "Sharing With Others", so rewards teach the virtues you want your child to learn.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must Have For Struggling Parents... :-)
Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2012
Great app. Very good support from Facebook and email. I showed it to my kids today with the explanation of the chores/rules. Today, no fights, no whinning, did their homeworks, ate their dinner with veggies, daily devotions, showered and went to bed with no fuzz. Lol, got to love the power of positive reinforcements. App is easy to use. some customization might take some learning, but once you know it, it is easy. Can't wait for the sync version and Web version. Once they all work together, it would be a complete suite. :-) this is my first paid app and it is worth it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Lack of updates, No response from support
Reviewed in the United States on May 11, 2012
Update: I lowered my review to 1 star due to lack of response from the support team. The IOS version of this app was updated with a password so that kids couldn't edit the stars themselves. I emailed the support team in June and was told it was coming to Android in a couple weeks. I emailed them a couple more times in the 3 months since and have gotten no response. Without this feature, the app is unreliable and kids can star their own things and may star the wrong things by mistake or on purpose. I will revise this review again if/when the app gets updated.

Original Review Below:
This app is neat. It's a great way to keep track of when your kids are doing their chores and acting appropriately as an alternative to a manual chore chart.

The only feature I need that's not included is a way to sync this app between multiple devices like I can with the various grocery apps. That way I can easily use this on my tablet when I'm at home so the kids can see it and use it along with me, but then I could also add things from my phone when we're out and about running errands and things.

Actually one other feature would be to require a PIN in order to modify things. That way the kids could look at it and see how they're doing, but wouldn't be able to go in and screw with the data unless they entered the proper PIN/password. Developers, if you read this, please add those to your to do list.

ALSO, even if you don't have kids, check out this review on Youtube for a guy who set it up to use it like his own ToDo list to reward himself for when he works out during the day or when he accomplishes things at work. Neat idea.

I guess I can't post a link to Youtube so just go there and search for 3JUMIwPMhBA

4.0 out of 5 stars Good app for the purpose
Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2012
After yet another morning where my 6 year old got what she needed to get done just in time to be late, I needed something that would help motivate her to do things without nagging and without complaint. This app fits the bill.

She has tasks, that if she gets them done in an expected timeframe, will earn her stars. These stars can be redeemed for privileges, like TV or Computer time, or saved and accumulated for larger rewards like trips to the local pool and spending money. This is a great way to track whether the child is getting what she needs to get done in a a quick easy way. Just open the app and press a star. You can add additional children too, although I have not tried this functionality.

You can give extra credit by hitting the stars multiple times, and in cases where the child has struggled more than she should have, you can use a long press to post a negative red star that takes away from the total. The star values and tasks are completely customizable. Tasks that are a stretch or not fun can be given more stars to help motivate the child to get those things done.

The app does not have password security, which is okay because we told her if she credits herself without permission, she loses all the stars she has banked. (Fraud is not tolerated in this house :)

While I am sure this app could be more sophisticated, it is a great simple app that allows me to easily tell whether my child has earned TV time, as well as allows me to monitor how much she's watched. Admittedly, the tough times feel much tougher, so it's been hard to be sure I am being objective about how she's doing.

In order to ensure the value of the rewards is commensurate with what she can be expected to earn, I estimated how many she earns in a typical day and put some of the lower level rewards at that amount.

All of this is easy to do once you get to know the application (which is simplistic; the setup isn't necessarily intuitive, but the end result is cute)

3.0 out of 5 stars Great concept, needs updates
Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2013
This app has worked great to help me stay consistent for our reward system for our two children. They are very responsive to the star system.
The positives include our ability to change the behaviors and rewards to suit our family and the visual for the kids. Also with it being on my phone I have it when I need it.

Drawbacks include it not having a backup option or the option to save it on my sd card. Very inconvenient when you have changed all of the behaviors and rewards and the phone crashes. Additionally you can't share with other devices. Very difficult for dh and I to stay in sync. Also, the volume is synced to the media, but you can't control it through the app. I have to go out, turn down the media volume and go back in.

I hope there are modifications coming in the near future, or someone else creates a more advanced version.

2.0 out of 5 stars Improvements - Good App, needs more.

1. Ditch the iPhone interface elements. Even though this seems like a port, there's no reason it should look iPhone-ish. Android has great UI elements and the use of iPhone UI seriously degrades the seriousness of your dev teams appearance.

2. Certain tasks would benefit from being able to set a time that such task should be completed. A great addition for kids learning to tell time.

3. A multi platform synch server with addition of web interface, so kids can view the same chart, whether on mommy's phone or daddy's, or the family computer.

All in all its a great app, here's why I only gave it two stars:

One star docked for interface design.
One star docked for poor use of androids extra buttons such as menu and back.
And the third star is being docked for untrviality in certain areas of adding tasks.
