4.0 out of 5 stars Disappeared! How do I get it back?

20120220WE~Review of goneMAD Music Player (gmmp).
Make no mistake this is a seriously excellent product from an audio-geek-programmer that is setting a higher standard for audio on the Droid OS. I first downloaded from Google, but had to uninstall and re-download the Trial version in order to buy the license from Amazon. This week I upgraded my sdCard and the the 'unlocker' disappeared. goneMAD support was terrific and the problem was not theirs' but probably mine, or a conflict between the two two companys' licenses. Anyhow, Amazon graciously took care of it.
I repurchased the software, uninstalled the older trial version and now everything is back working great. Thanks Amazon and goneMAD. Great support from both of them. Try the demo. It works well out of the box, but if you want to customize anything the options are waiting for you. This is the best little piece of software I ever bought for the money. The audio features are equivalent to applications costing $30-$50 or more. I haven't seen a list, but it plays a lot of different file formats, and that's a very good thing!!! goneMAD has been suffling around thru my library playing tracks while I wrote this personal review. ciao, from opus at starlitedance dot org.
p.s. My droid is a Sprint LG-LS840 Viper with an HD-32GB sdCard.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you want to click and drag your wma/mp3 or whatever onto the Kindle (or any other tablet) this is the real deal!

I really have a lot of CDs and have them on my computer for ease of selection for the type of music I am interested in. I have used Windows media players ever since they started and did not want to convert the whole library to mp3 for use on my Kinldle HDX. I installed the trial and an hour or so later I paid the $3.99 for the unlocker. Works good; search for tunes by genre, artist, album. I was able to drag my songs by artist folder or album folder straight into the Kindle Music file. All works well, music sounds 1000% better than my old media player, everything already on my Kindle and Amazon Cloud showed up with my freshly imported tunes. I love playing with shuffle engaged so I don't get locked into on particular genre and the playing of songs that I had not listened to for years but still liked as much as when they were purchased. The sleep timer is great for listening myself to sleep at night. I don't know what all the features are but for me I can't think of a better product. Step 1 download the trial vedrsion, Step 2 try it out for an hour or so, Step 3 get the unlocker, let it install and put the whatever will fit onto your device.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great player with a few minor issues.
Reviewed in the United States on December 27, 2015
Three problems with what is otherwise the best android standalone player: 1 There needs to be a "save to" option on "save settings" so it can be saved to the external chip, otherwise this function is fairly useless if the phone dies, leaving you with just the external chip. Saving settings gives no confirmation anything was saved. Restore will crash the program if there is nothing to restore.

2. The GMMP settings are on too many menus which are not accessed from the same starting point. There appears to be two branches of settings menus and the bottom line is I am constantly looking in the wrong place to change a setting. Audio settings that one would logically think should be together are oddly separated. In general it should be possible to get to one setting from any another in 1 or 2 clicks.

3. There is something seriously wrong with the album art metadata in my mp3s once they get copied onto the android system. The first title in a directory appears to physically corrupt the others in that directory with its album art. This may be an android problem but one would think it would have been recognized as a big deal and fixed by now if it were. The stock HTC player also had this problem so it may not be a direct problem with this product save for the lack of a workaround. I would keep a backup of all music somewhere safe like on a non-android desktop.

5.0 out of 5 stars ACTUALLY does gapless playback
Reviewed in the United States on October 18, 2015
Great music player. The UI is easy to navigate, and you can customize it a lot to fit your tastes. There are equalizers for people who are into that sort of thing, and the lock screen player is much better than the one that comes with the stock Samsung Music app. And best of all, this app is the only one I've found so far that actually does gapless playback correctly--listening to the Abbey Road Medley on here is as smooth as it is listening to the record. $4 well-spent for a quality music player

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Music Player App
Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2013
Since my Kindle Fire HD did not come with an equalizer, I decided to give this app a try, and it certainly does the job. It's a little wonky displaying album art, but over all it does the job. Good product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works fine so far.

Giving this four stars. It's probably worth five stars but I've only just started using it & so can't say how it will work out in the long run. Suffice to say that so far it works perfectly.

1.0 out of 5 stars worst customer service nt
Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2015
Don't waste your time with purchasing this app unless you don't care about good customer service. I sent an email to them regarding some issue's with the app and I received a condescending reply from a Kyle. Apparently, he's young and very immature. He stated that he didn't care what I had to say to Amazon about his response because he does this as a hobby and he seems to think he did nothing wrong. I will make certain that I never purchase anything from GoneMad Software LLC. He is a jerk.

Better than Google Play, but then so is a Victrola. Pretty good player, worth a few bucks, especially since you get a free trial to check it out.Lots of adjustability to customize it.
