Best App I could find in the kindle store, it is perfect for my son and is good for any child who is able to sit up for long period of time and draw a line with their fingers all the way til 4 at least. The videos may not be of HD quality and some are kind of old. But to create such a large collection of videos that'll still fit into your kindle I guess they had to pull from the old archived videos. This app will not work on 1st generation kindle, you must have HD or higher for this prog to run. No internet access is req'd. My only complaint was that my son loves the sesame songs. Since each alphabet gave 3 videos, why not make at least 1 of them to be just a song about that alphabet? I'm sure you have that somewhere in your archives that don't repeat the same tunes. Many thanks to the developer because my son can do the entire alphbet after 1 month on this app and he was only 1 1/2 then.

My 2 year old loves this app. It's a great way to teach letters and sounds. My only complaint is the lag during the transition from tracing the letters and the videos that come after. My daughter gets impatient during this time and will sometimes lose interest while waiting.

We have this app for the iPad, and our daughter loves it. So when we saw the app available for Kindle, we were ecstatic, as the Kindle Fire is going to be our daughter's device (kudos to Amazon for making the device kid friendly!).

Unfortunately, the program crashes in Freetime. The app will run normally in the main screen, but that is not where it will be used. In freetime, the Elmo program will let you trace the letters, but the blue rectangle below the letters appears blank. This is where the user would select to see a video, listen to a song, or play a mini game. At this point (after the letter has been traced), touching the screen would cause the,program to end abruptly.

Oddly, the Elmo 123 app doesn't have this issue.

LOVE IT!!! The Sesame Workshop apps are worth the small price. They are very educational and interactive. I love the fact that they incorporate video clips from Sesame Street and that they provide the opportunity for children to trace the letters with their fingers, so they start to learn how to write the letters as well.
