Product description

SpinArt has finally landed on Amazon and Kindle devices! The New York Times said "if you and your child were stuck on a desert island with just one app, you’d want it to be SpinArt!"

SpinArt is based on one of our favorite childhood crafts! It's fun & creative--you'll spend longer than you think playing with this App! Whether it's waiting in line at the bank, at the dentist, or on a really boring date, you can always take a spin. Enjoy!

SpinArt features a large palette of 54 colors, three brush sizes, and six built-in canvas shapes. You can save the image to your device's photo gallery or share it with the world via email, Facebook, Picasa, and more! SpinArt is fully optimized to take advantage of your tablet's screen.

The Philadelphia Inquirer:
"Unleash your inner kindergartener. Squeeze on colors, spin the wheel...Just as satisfying as the real thing, and no waiting in line at the school fair with a bunch of 8-year-olds getting cotton candy in your hair."

HOW TO USE SPINART
When in "Spin Mode" (the button with the green arrows on the left), swipe your fingers across the canvas to spin at varying speeds. Then switch back into paint mode (the paintbrush button), and choose from three brush sizes and a color from the palette, then use your finger to splat some paint and watch some amazing patterns emerge!

When you're done, go back into Spin Mode, double tap on the spinning canvas to stop it and admire your final artwork! You can then save your creation to your photo library or share it with the world!

It's great for kids too--let them get messy with paint without making a mess!

5.0 out of 5 stars Creative and fun!

This is a very easy to use little app, but the artwork you can produce is great...I have been using my spin art designs as avatars, and have gotten some rave reviews. I remember creating spin art designs at carnivals when I was a kid, and I used to love making designs. This app is almost as much fun as the real thing. I bought the extra design sets, cheap at .99 each, and have used every design. Worth the money and lots of fun!

1.0 out of 5 stars Just an average app with IAPs, four inactive adware programs and Flurry Analytics built in!

This is just like going to the county or state fair and painting a square piece of cardboard that is spinning. Then if you want you can purchase the whole app package in four more parts at $0.99 each. That's right you can pay another $3.96 for upgrades to this app.

Top that off with 4 different adware codes built in (Inactive at this time) and Flurry Analytics built in and I am not interested in keeping this app. Overall it would be OK for your children to play with.

If you want it for your child then make sure that you turn off your in app purchasing to block them from buying other add-ins for the app. It does play with the WIFI turned off also.

I don't like the inactive remnants of adware code and IAPS so I rated it at 1 star.

Permissions:
* Modify or delete the contents of your USB storage
* Full network access

This app's code contains AdMob, AdSense, Amazon Mobil Ads and Chart Boost adware. It also contains Flurry analytics to monitor the software and your behavior within the game. You can add in Amazon InApp Purchasing on top of that. It even has a save button to allow you to share your artwork on Facebook or twitter.

This app installed 8.470MB into my device memory. It will not transfer to my SD card even though it uses that permission.

relaxing and fun! We had real ones as a kids -that include my sister. You take paper on battery operated spinner that you just had to have as the latest toy back than. you had these colors are glitter that made mess on your mom's carpet/Like the easy bake oven you never had it long. The reason mom was never going to buy you more cake mixes which means no more colors-this game lets me have that revenge art and post it on Facebook for my mom to see-though she ignores me! Just all fun with my mom though she has a sin art game too!!

3.0 out of 5 stars SpinArt

I have always loved making spin art as a little kid, and this app recreates it well. There are lots of colors and three types sizes you can choose from. However, I'm not sure how to do things like erasing and simply starting a new picture. There doesn't seem to be an option for those things, as well as no saving. But it is a fun app, and you can make colorful, tie-dye style designs.

2.0 out of 5 stars yep it's fun, but...

you pick a shape, color and splash size then spin and color. that's it. period.it's fun for a short time but gets old real quick and when I let the three yr old play today many problems popped up. first of many was with the two different ways to spin your artwork. you have the choice of clicking the spin button and/or spinning manually. this would be fine if the manual spin only worked when the spin button was highlighted. alas not so while splashing colors if you touch the screen too hard or the opposite way of the spin you will often unintentionally stop the spin. I use a stylus on my tablet but prefer to have the younger kids use fingers instead (they tend to push the stylus down too hard thus scratching up the screen guard). well I found out today it's almost impossible to make your choices without using the stylus. the different object buttons are so small that with using a finger it's hard to get it on the exact button you need (even with the small three yr old fingers). especially when trying to pick a color. the color grid is extremely tiny that even with a stylus you have a hard time clicking on the correct choice. most art games/apps have a costomized color choice choice (at least for paid ones) but not this one. as for the shapes you get about five or six. there are additional packets you can buy but each one only has that small amount too. so if you want all the available shape options you will end up paying over $5. thats more than most action game apps and anyone would be crazy to spend that much money on such a limited art app. I really thought this would be fun to play with the kids. but even though I am always sitting right next to them while they play with the "game pad" kids do prefer to do things on their own. so when they loose the choice to be able to click all their own option, they loose interest very, very fast.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome App

My grand kids ask me to get this for my Kindle Fire so they could use it to make pretty designs. There are several different shapes to choose from in which you can color many different ways. There is a button that when touched starts the shape spinning so when you start to add color, it makes a spinning wheel affect. This will let a child spend hours changing shapes and colors with no two ever looking the same. This is for both boy or girl. Well worth putting it on your device.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good app, works well.

This little app has been a nice addition to my growing collection of artsy and drawing type apps. I am an artist and see a lot of potential for use of this app combined with my others to create colorful and unique graphics projects. I even bought one of the additional shapes packs (the one with the peace sign) and appreciate the transparent background of the shapes because it adds to the ease of using my creations in other projects. I could see how one might get bored with this app when using for entertainment purposes only, but I suspect the same person might just as easily get bored with a real spin art machine, or similar item. This is a fun app for those with a creative spark or love playing with color.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kids love this!
Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2014
I got this because my kids always liked to do spin art at festivals, so I though, 'Why not?' It's definitely not messy. The kids love playing with it. It has different shapes for them to make the 'paper', which you can't do with the real thing a festivals. It provides many hours of fun, holing their attention longer than I thought it would. It's just plain fun!
