3rd party apps don't appear as an available option when selecting an app to associate with a programable button. App Opener does appear.
When you run App Opener the first time, you select the 3rd party app you'd like to open. On subsequent runs, running App Opener opens that 3rd party app.
By associating App Opener with a programable button, pressing that button now opens the 3rd party app.
You can only associate App Opener with one 3rd party app, so you can't use it to launch separate apps on each programable button.
