This app provides a user-configurable focused app drawer. The purpose is to enable frequently used apps to be launched from a single screen without modifying the launcher of your device. Use the PIN code protected settings to add direct links to launch other installed apps. The PIN code is specific to the app + user profile + device combination and is not synchronised to other apps, profiles or devices.

Works with apps sideloaded into kids profile!

The developer's enthusiasm for the product convinced me to purchase it and try it out. He responded to my email questions with in-depth responses. The app worked perfectly to allow my child to launch apps that I've sideloaded to his/her account. The app we were most trying to get setup was Libby which works perfectly.
I thought I would share my work flow for getting apps loaded into the Amazon Kids profile for my child. It's slightly different than what I've seen published in the forums and it might optimize the process for some others. I'm using Fire Toolbox for optimization of the tablet and it has some nice feature that help this process:

• Install Total Commander on my (adult) profile.
• Navigate to the Installed Apps section in Total Commander.
• Tap the App icon directly to select the one of interest.
• Tap the Copy button at the bottom
• Allow it to copy the app to /storage/emulated/0/Download
• It will be copied as an .apk
• Open Amazon Fire Toolbox
• Open Push and Pull utility in Fire Toolbox
• Navigate to the Download folder: /sdcard/Download/
• "Pull" the .apk file to the PC
• Open Sideload Apps utility in Fire Toolbox
• Sideload the downloaded .apk to the Child user's account. Make sure you select the child's account at the bottom drop-down.
• Install RocketApps on my profile: KwarkLabs - RocketApps - FAQ
• Add RocketApps to the child's profile and configure it with a security pin and answer the challenge question.
• Select the recently sideloaded app in the list by checking the box on the right side.
• Click the 3 dots in the upper right corner to configure icon size.
• Save.
• Now sideloaded apps can be launched from RocketApps in the child's profile.

As of December 23, 2023 I can say this app works to launch Google Store Apps in Kids profile. It isn't magical, one has to do all the Google Services sideload first and once that's done, you can use this app to access the google store apps, such as Youtube Kids.
On the Rocketapps site, you can find instructions on how to sideload the google services

This app did not work. It does not show the side loaded app I want my child to access (YouTube kids). It shows on parent profile but not my child's profile, which defeats the purpose. My guess is that the latest Fire tablet update no longer allows apps like this to work. Frustrated that I lost the money I paid for this app. Even more frustrated by Amazon not allowing BASIC apps like YouTube on kids Fire tablets. It should not be this difficult!!!

Don’t listen to the other reviewer! As of January 12th 2023, this works to help get YouTube kids working on Amazon fire kids profile. The trick is to follow the instructions on the RocketApps developer website.

The other reviewer didn’t install the Google play files on the kids profile, to install YT kids, which is critical. Use File Manager (Rhythm Software) to upload the Google play files from the adult profile to your kids profile. I used file sharing. Then, once installed and YT kids is installed, add that to RocketApps and you’re good to go.

But again, follow the instructions from the RocketApps developer website. It works 100%!

Works great with sideloaded apps

I sideloaded the Google Play Store in my child's profile. But apps installed with that aren't visible. This is a great solution to that!

If you need help getting the sideloaded Play Store up and going, check out Android Police's article "The ultimate guide for installing the Google Play Store on Amazon Fire tablets". Make sure to follow the "Install Google Play on other device profiles" section. THEN come back and install this app.

Note for the developer - first off, great app. A small request... I wouldn't mind seeing some visual/theme settings such as icon size.

Did what I needed it to do

I was able to use RocketApps to successfully use side-loaded apps on a child profile using the method I found in another review of this product. My kid wanted to use Discord and the Amazon version of the app is just a website link that doesn't work from a child profile. It was an extensive journey but I got there.

While this app downloaded and works fine (on Fire10 2020) it does not allow access to sideloaded apps from within a child FreeTime account, which is what I'd been hoping for. Waste of money for me, and seems expensive for a shortcuts app anyway.
