G-Stomper Studio is a Music Production Tool, highly optimized for doing Electronic Live Performances in Studio Quality. Not-too-hard to learn music production app, with great results!

This app started me off with a link to a 17-minute tutorial that turned out to be much needed, but I only had to reference it once or twice after watching it. It really isn't that hard to pick up on, and the layout makes you look like a genius if you're waiting at the doctor's office or something. I would recommend this as a legitimate music production app, provided it would have to be instrumental music (electro, dubstep, etc). It's really fun to mess around with, and even though I got it for free in one of those promo lists, it would be worth the price (maybe you can get rid of all those coins :D). Overall this app definitely deserves five stars, with no permission or spyware problems, no ads, and only one prompt to rate the app. This is probably the best music so you can get for Android.

The latest update requires an Internet connection, which is obviously not required since the message just appears over the completely loaded app which would be ready to use. Stupid move, since playing with G-Stomper on my tablet is something I do when there is no connection available.

A dream come true!

Awesome app! I am a newbie at synth and at first I didn't think I would ever figure it out, but I persisted and within a month I had actually made my first real tune. I know I still have a lot to learn but this is a lifelong dream come true for me. I am 64 and first heard a Moog synthesizer as a teen and wanted to work with one ever since. Young people may not realize how prohibitively expensive synthesizers were, but these new apps are stunningly powerful. For only a few bucks we have a tool that used to cost many thousands. With good speakers the sounds are rich and crisp. Anyone who gives a bad review for this app probably didn't try hard enough to learn it. Yes, it's complex, but that is just the nature of synthesizer music creation. There is some help out there for learning it but mostly you need determination, logic and patience. Anyway, it's the most fun I have had in a long time. Hope you will like it too!

I love making sounds out of sounds, and the beats are incredible, but I'm not sure how to put things together to form a song and all that. I have
never used anything like this before, so I guess I'm a little green around the gills, so to speak. But I will keep at it because it's fun and cheap. To me the instructions were a little vague on how to put components together.

Man! This app is great. I've tried many different apps on Android for music creation, and there are some great ones out there. But this one, so far, is tops! But be warned - it's DEEP! Is such a powerful piece of software that if your not familiar with the basics of electronic music creation, you'll get lost in you first five minutes. I run it on a Nexus 7 2012. This Nexus isn't the best-running device sometimes, but G-Stomper runs great on it. This developer has done a great job of managing memory and resource usage. It also runs great on my Note II, but believe me, you'll want the additional real estate that a tablet screen offers because there is so much going on. Still, it's awesome for jamming on the go. My suggestion is that you view the introductory tutorial that's on YouTube before you get started, then to the dev's website and download the PDF manual... You can get either the whole manual, or download the particular section you need help with. I've only been using it for a short time, but I will be spending LOT of time with it. I can only imagine that I'll have to move from 4 to 5 stars after I've had a longer go at it!

This is an app ....no....it's a program that will keep you busy for hours on end if you let it. Even if you're not sure how to use it, once you've got the most basic idea of how to start using it ( and that does take effort on your part) you'll create amazing works of art that you'd be happy to play loud at a party. There are so many things squeezed into this program that it could probably function very well if an HDX Fire had a 'Music Production' version with only G-Stomper as the platform operating system....it's way, way more than an app....it's a multifunctional production tool!
I haven't mastered anything on it yet. I haven't become a famous DJ with it....yet....but if someone had the time, will, music ability and love of mixing they could easily get there with G-Stomper.
It does have fine tuning & tweaking to let you modify it to better perform for your tablet (or whatever it's installed on) according to the processing power. It has great help/instructional info, many tutorial videos and bad-@$$ sounds within it (and to download) that make you wonder why it isn't on everyone's device!
Try it...you won't regret it.

Update 12.8.13: I noticed a very in depth help section this week and read through it. I never saw that originally so I have changed this star rating to 2. You still need to buy separate sounds if you want to do anything meaningful, and it's not an intuitive app at all. The help is definitely good, but I still can't drive this properly.

Previously: Why don't people make great documentation when they have supposedly great product. This product is unusable without any "help" and proper documentation. Wish I could get a refund.

I use this app as a versatile and portable drum machine. It has a wide variety of sounds that are available as extensions to this app, and it features several creative interfaces for making music. My only two recommendations I would make for developers of this app (and the surrounding line up of these related applications) to further improve itself would most likely be in regards to the add-on packs. The add on packs are nice, but it is somewhat frustrating to have to pay for them, and keep track of which ones are installed. Another slight nuisance is the third party add on packs; Most of the packs that come from the developer come in an already made "drum set", and ready for use. However, the "FLPH" ones do not, so instead, you need to browse the files individually and select it. However, I understand that this is not the developers fault, however, maybe the developer could consider adding more support for such things? Just a thought. However, in all, this app is a lovely and portable drum machine.
