5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!

This is a very fun app. You can keep up to 15 fish in your tank, choosing from 80 different species of fish. You can change their sizes, swimming speed, choose whether to have plants or not. You can even feed them! You tap the screen and tiny app icons (tiny Facebook icons, tiny Pandora icons, etc) fall like food and the fish gobble them up very realistically, several at a time rushing to grab a tasty Sims icon, some icons fall to the bottom and late-comers discover them later, just like real fish -- very clever! The graphics are great, with almost endless combinations to create your fishtank. A lot of action for only 1.9MB.

I bought the full version. If you choose to stay with the free version, you'll have use of the full version as described above for 2 days, after which it drops down to only 2 fish and limited options. I think its great that they let you sample the full version before you pay.

This will be my phone's wallpaper for quite some time.

This app force closes a lot and requires a full reboot in order to get it working again. When it does work properly, the graphics are very nice. - HTC TB 2.3

4.0 out of 5 stars Very Good, but, not Great

Didn't WOW me, but, certainly a little more fun than your average wallpaper. Plenty of fish options to fill your aquarium. A nice diversion to the usual productivity work I use my tablet for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun to watch

I got the marine version of the aniPet Aquarium Live Wallpaper when it was the free app of the day. Since I have enjoyed having it on my phone so much, I decided to buy the Freshwater version and further support the dev and Amazon. I hope the dev continues to add fish varieties to the freswater version as well.

I wasn't overly fond of the backgrounds but the app allows you to customize using a pic on the phone as a background. I have the DroidIris app from the Android Market which allows the user to easily search for images for background use. I've found several images from flicker suitable for backgrounds so simply searched for flicker aquarium backgrounds and came up with an image that is just perfect. Now my new freshwater friends really look as if they are living in a real aquarium.

It's great fun for kids and adults alike to feed and watch the fish. You may find yourself watching your wallpaper far too often :) I also haven't found the wallpaper to be a big battery drain either. The battery manager on my DroidX indicates a mere 3%.

I'm frustrated that new fish are promised but never delivered. This app has seen ZERO improvement since my purchase. There are a lot of fish missing especially African Cichlids and Tetras. Two of the most common fish out there!

4.0 out of 5 stars Looks Great.

There are a vast amount of fish to choose from. I would like if they had more "fish tank" backgrounds to choose from. They only have two at the moment. One is the standard shown in the picture while the other is a bland sand one. You may choose to upload a picture of your own to use as the background of the tank as an alternative.

I am glad they have settings to allow you to choose the size of each fish and how fast they move. Personally I like the slower speed of the fish. One criticism I have is the moment of the fish, it could be a lot better.

Given I am around people everyday at work who are enthused with there fish tanks I think this will be very popular.

If you are really into freshwater fish and want a live background I think it is worth the $1.99 it is currently priced at now.

I think .99 cents would have been an appropriate price point though.

Be sure to reboot after you install, my experience was before I restarted it running at 9%. After a reboot, it was running at 2% of the battery.

I do not expect any battery issues if it maintains a 2% battery drain.

5.0 out of 5 stars Quite Realistic

I purchased this app for my android tablet. The animation is superb and very realistic. You can actually control how fast the fish grow and what breed that you want to be in your fish tank. I thoroughly enjoy watching and feeding them. My grand kids were amazed too. Great entertainment.
