I’ve upgraded from the former design and I find this model functions well. I had too many issues with the former model and the seller notified me of this newer version. Seller had great communication. Setup was very easy. I was winding yarn within 10 minutes. I prefer this electric version because I have arthritis which makes for difficult use with the manual winders. I save a lot of time with this machine. I strapped this model to an Ikea Lack table and that is the absolute thickest table you can use this machine with. Stable and secure when locked in place. Doesn’t wobble like other brands. I love the pink colour because it’s not childish, it’s appealing and trendy. For the price this is a good value. This is not a paid reviewer. Highly recommend trying this brand.

Far as functionality, I've learned that if you hold lightly onto your yarn as it's being fed through the winder almost kind of like a guide it helps make the tension tighter on the winder itself to help get a much tighter cake.
Also once it's completely done, and you remove it from the ball winder you may be left with a rather large hole in the middle all you have to do is work it a little bit and you can't even tell the difference. I absolutely love this! It has helped me out so much especially since I have quite a large yarn stash. I highly recommend it for anyone who has issues as far as mobility goes with your hands especially if you have been crocheting for over 20 years like I have lol. I would absolutely buy this again if I had to. The price point is a little high but again it is well worth it.
