I use Maderia as a rule, but before I got my Melco a couple of yrs ago, I used this brand fairly regularly. I can't really get to any stores where I live, so it's convenient. It is a bit on the thin side, and doesn't quite pass the break test, but it has worked for me many times (overall for the past 4/5 yrs or so). I try to only use it on occasion for the great variety of colors they have, over other brands- and of course, they are way less expensive. Having said that, in my opinion, these are best suited for smaller home machines. A true commercial machine like mine, deserves a great poly thread, and the force of my machine is too great for these tiny spool (don't worry, there's a lot on the spool surprisingly), but I was able to rig up a solution that works so I don't have that problem anymore. If I used these predominantly, I would be doing my maintenance much more frequently, and you should too. This thread will produce some lint (but again, not bad for what it is). I would do a swatch test if what you're doing will ever need to be washed, to be sure it doesn't bleed, but I personally haven't had any complaints from the customers who've ordered custom quilts/baby shower gifts from me.
All of their colors are really pretty and there is almost any color you can imagine. Works great for home machines - even the faster ones (my first two were Janome and Elna which are basically the same machine with a different label). I used these for those most often.
