As a beginner and hobbyist, color values are a struggle. That section in this book is BY FAR, the best descriptor of values I’ve uncovered. The rest of this book is just as clear and easy to understand. Best investment ever.

This is the best watercolor book I have ever purchased. It is a good choice for a painter who has some experience with water color. It is well written and full of excellent ideas and techniques for the devoting one's skills.

As an advanced beginner I found this book to. E a great review and it affirmed what I was learning. Not much gives me confidence but this was a real supportive Book. Loved reading like a daily reminder. They put the information so succinctly it wa a pleasure to read. There was nothing I did not like.

As a beginner, I have found this book very useful, and my art teacher uses it as well in her classes.
