I ordered this thread because I wanted 100% cotton to machine quilt a lap quilt I am working on. The thread is very nice and smooth and is sewing very well for me.

I was looking for a thread to replace one I use on denim. I needed the color to match. This thread is a match. I like the texture and the color. I have not tried using it yet so I can't really give a proper review. I hope my sewing machine and the denim both agree on how well they like the thread. There are so many more colors I want to purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Slightly different color that it appeared on screen

The color didn't show up exactly correct, but I figured that could be an issue, and wasn't bothered by it. I found it to be a little bit lighter and without as much of the green color to it. The thread seems to be great quality for the price. Overall I'm very pleased with the purchase.

I wasn’t sure that a spool of thread this large would fit in my Janome 3160QDC sewing machine. But it fit just fine. And the color is perfect. I had a hard time finding thread to go with my fabric, then I found “jam” at Connecting Threads. So many beautiful colors in their collection. I’ll be back. Thank you!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fair affordable thread

It worked well in my machine. I didn't have any breaks. In direct comparison to Gutermann thread it isn't as strong. It could be a good thing or bad depending on the fabric. Ideally the thread will break before ripping the fabric. It's a good thread for the price if used for the right purposes like thinner lighter fabrics.

5.0 out of 5 stars My machine likes this thread almost as much as I do

My favorite cotton thread in the best hue of pink I could find. In love.

When I first bought this thread, I wasn't expecting much because I had only just begun exploring my cotton thread options. The first time I used it, my sewing machine (Brother SQ9185) performed like it had been waiting for this thread.

Switching to other threads made my machine cantankerous and I was so frustrated with the rethreading and tension adjustments. And the nests of knotted thread made my projects difficult to complete without a lot of seam ripper time. And my machine had negligible amount of lint to clean after using this thread. Unlike some other brand thread that had lint clinging to my needle holder shaft within a couple hours of use.

So, I obviously tried more of this thread to make my machine function as I expect. Now I have a new machine (Brother ST150HDH) that isn't bothered by other threads. Tonight I introduced my new machine to sweet pink! I'm so excited! I used sweet pink for the bobbin thread. Lilac ice for the top thread. So smooth with cotton fabric.

I have been adding to my Sweet Pink collection as well as other colors from Connecting Threads. This cotton thread will be the primary choice going forward. I like using contrasting thread - matching thread gets so boring and hard on the eyes. Topstitching with sweet pink on dark fabric is a treat. It's also beautiful with light colors of fabric.

The only negative is that I want ten spools of sweet pink, like the options for white. Five spools of sweet pink, like I have in the salt and pepper set, would be great. Then there will be no worries about having enough to complete my projects. That moment of opening my drawer of thread and seeing just one spool left is depressing.

I love buying my thread from online, so much frustration avoided when I can get exactly the colors I want instead of multiple trips to my nearest store. I don't understand why it's such a challenge to buy cotton thread locally, but it's clear that my local resources are a disappointment and hinder my creativity. Connecting Threads has made my sewing life better with this thread.

I can't compare this thread to brands I planned to try. I didn't need to because this brand has the colors I love. Threads don't break with cotton, or several layers of cotton. I don't have to clean lint off my entire work space constantly. And I can't stress how lovely the colors are!

The two pictures attached show use as bobbin thread in fabric and in the top loading bobbin case.
