COTTON ARAN YARN: This pack contains one 50g / 1.76oz ball of Paintbox Yarns 100% cotton Aran yarn (sometimes referred to as heavy worsted, 10-ply) in a mustard yellow color. The skein is approximately 85m / 93 yards in length.
VERSATILE YARN: This soft, machine washable worsted yarn brings all the drape and elegance of a finer yarn such as DK but works up much faster. It is ideal for quickly creating crochet and knitted sweaters, sweatshirts, accessories, homeware, childrens clothing and toys.
NEEDLE SIZE & TENSION: For this yarn the recommended tension is 20 stitches, 24 rows to 4" with a suggested crochet hook size of G (4.5mm) and needle size of US 7 (4.5mm).
100% COTTON: This aran, worsted yarn for crochet or knitting is made solely from high quality cotton. Paintbox Yarns is a practical, durable, great value yarn to add to your collection and is available in a wider selection of color shades, making it perfect for multicolor knitting projects.

    I took away a single star for "for beginners" because it's more stringy than some other cotton yarns and so sometimes a string or two will get separated from the others, which can be difficult to deal with as a beginner - it was the bane of my existence when I started. But it's a nice yarn and easy enough to work with. Soft, too!

    These bundles of yarn are only 93 yards. SUPER SMALL!!!!!!!!! (Not even big enough for two coasters). I didn't realize how small until I received them. Then, when I go to return them, I have to pay shipping fees back! I wont be buying from this seller again.

    This is a cotton yarn. It works up quickly and comes in every color you can imagine. I make sweaters and tops and I also make wash clothes out of this yarn. It’s a medium 4 yarn. Priced well and is even better when it’s on sale every blue moon.

    The quality of the product is fine, but the yarn colors and the photos are very different. I ordered five colors and only one appears like the photo. The blues and pinks were the furthest from the appearance in the photo.
