    This is a really great beginner’s kit for making these cute animal toys! For the price, it is definitely superior to some other kits I’ve tried! The video instructions are delivered in clear English with easy guidance! (I had another beginner’s kit from a different company that was so difficult because the yarn was too skinny and it frayed easily and the video instructions were too hard to understand - the instructor had a strong accent which didn’t help.)
    I was really impressed with the Cookie Box Crochet Kits! Everything you need is in the little “cookie tin,” and the materials are of good quality! I ended up making three of the critters! I will admit that assembling them was a little tedious, but the young woman who instructs you on the video guide is with you step-by-step. My little animals didn’t look quite as perfect as hers, but they’re still cute and I know my granddaughter will like them! All in all - a great value and I’ll order more in future!

    This is a great kit for beginner and more advanced crocheters alike. Everything is included and it’s all quality materials. Great ergonomic crochet hook is far better than in some other kits. The yarn is plentiful and best I’ve found so far. Even the stitch markers included are substantial enough to last for whole project. I love the tin that everything comes in for keeping it all together. The safety eyes are easy to install, but if it’s for a very little one, you can embroider the eyes very easily. I was so impressed by this company’s commitment to make everybody successful by the explicit written directions and the carefully produced video. I’m just a crocheting grandmother, not a professional reviewer or an advanced arumigarumi maker. But I love this series of critters and have purchased two more to make a menagerie for my soon to be born great-niece. Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed and the price is much better than Woobles, which also is a great product. This one is better.
    Update: I’ve gotten several more of these wonderful kits Each has plenty of materials to finish project, great directions and recipients love the critters. I’m looking forward to whatever new kits this company offers in the future. Great prices, values and perfect Xmas gift for crafters.

    This was a fun project for a beginner but I recommend following along with the video even if you you’re slightly more experienced and can comfortably read the pattern. I’m deleting one star since there are no printed instructions included in the kit so I had to rely on using my phone to follow along which is not always convenient. You can download and print instructions as well but I didn’t bother. Also, one less star because there were a couple of very important steps that were mentioned in the videos but not explained in the downloadable instructions. I also completely missed that I needed to keep a longer starting tail in the belly piece as it will need to be threaded through from the front to the back of the turtle and through the shell.

    The instructional video is easy to understand and follow along without being excruciatingly slow as some beginner videos. I have to say that I was able to easily form the magic ring every single time needed by following these instructions in the video and I usually struggle with this as a relative beginner.

    The yarn is perfect for beginners and you get everything you need except for a tape measure. You get a nice amount of extra thread so I recommend being a bit more generous with the length of the tails on the parts to be connected.

    A very cute project on the smaller size. I will be purchasing other kits by this brand.

Keep in mind the directions are digital only. You scan a QR code and get access to a PDF as well as a very clear and detailed video. I had very minimal crochet experience prior to starting this project. It took me around 8 hours over the course of two days. Highly recommend!

    This is the perfect kit for learning to crochet. I had NEVER made an amigurumi, and had only made a few granny squares before using this kit. It was easy to follow, had everything I needed, with clear written directions and it even had videos to follow the entire way through! This kit really sparked my love for crochet and now I cant stop! I have multiple projects in the works now! I cant recommend this enough!!! GO BUY ONE!!! This company is awesome as well because all of their patterns and videos are available even if you havent purchased the kit. So if you have the materials you can just get their pattern and make whatever amigarumi you want!

    Came as advertised/pictured and very cute for the price, but I would definitely not say this is beginner-friendly (for someone who has never crocheted and is trying to learn). The yarn material is a bit difficult to work with and the hook size is very small for a beginner. For reference, I’m a grown up. The online video tutorials were very helpful but I wouldn’t recommend this for someone who is brand new to crochet.

    This cookie box kit was so great. We’ve used woobles before and I felt that this was superior! The videos were great. The packaging is adorable. The price point is way lower than a woobles kit but the quality is even better!

    I got the turtle and the bunny and was planning on making these, but with Christmas coming I needed to think about my kids as apposed to myself. So I decided to send them back in the hopes that some time I can purchase these again and actually do them when money isn't so tight. I would recommend this, but have to say as a beginner, watching the video from the scan code on the outside of the tin, doesn't really seem for beginners. Maybe start with something not soo...complicated lol for beginners. These are super cute and is really hard not to want to try. :-)
