    This is such a helpful item to have if you typically buy yarn in long hanks. I used to have my husband hold the yarn on his hands while I wound it, but this gadget is way more cooperative and won't leave the room claiming it's bored and has better things to do. The yarn winds evenly so it's easy to knit with. A wonderful find!

    Edited: Manufacturer reached out after seeing the review and sent a whole new replacement unit. The email I found after posting I don’t believe is the correct one for customer service.

    Works fine but missing the wing nut to secure it to a table top. Cant find a place to message the seller to get it handled either. Sent a couple emails with no response

    This was really helpful but the rivets that attached to the winder itself broke off fairly easy making it unusable.

    UPDATE!! I inadvertently submitted the wrong review for this product. This is a GREAT winder and is able to support all yarn weights. I truly apologize for any confusion my previous review may have caused. I am a very satisfied customer and would not hesitate to order from this company in the future .

    This winder was not able to wind size 4 or above yarn and was very flimsy. I returned it.

    This was an amazing purchase. As a crocheter, I always wanted to be able to wind my yarn like this. About 8 months ago, I purchased one on a website with huge discounts, it starting with a T. The product broke easily and didn’t wind the yarn very cleanly. It also made loud squeaky noises too often.
    When this product arrived (on time may I add) I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. It was smooth and very easy to work. The product was easy to clip on my desk, and didn’t move at all. The box it came it was cute, and well made. Along with the colors as well. The product was wrapped in bubble wrap as well.

    Overall, highly recommend. Great price too!

    It made my yarn messy and I had to hold the yarn tight so it would roll into a semi-uniform cake. No matter how tight I secured it to the table, it would always come loose and I would have to stop to tighten it back up. For $26, I would think I would get a decent product. The center part that the yarn rolls around kept coming off. After two hours of trying to use this product, I gave up. It’s definitely a cheaply made product and I regret spending the money. I’ll just go back to hand rolling.

    I have now processed a lot of yarn through this winder and it has done its job. However, I do have two small problems. There is a metal piece that helps keep your yarn in place as you wind, I wish it clicked into place or had any stability, I ended up having to tape it down so it would stay where I needed it to. The second problem is the size of the table clamp. Other yarn winders I have used in the past have a much larger clamp so I could do it pretty much anywhere. With this specific one I could only find one small TV stand edge that was thin enough to be able to clamp. My dining table, coffee table and end tables were all too thick and the clamp wouldn’t fit.

    It takes some getting used to but for the most part it does the job. It makes my yarn look more aesthetically pleasing and easier to crochet. I’m eager to know if it’s good for traveling - as it making my yarn more travel friendly ????
