    these are great pens, they were recommended by another artist, very fun to draw and then watercolor, a friends child used them as soon as I opened the box and I cringed however these pens take a lot of torture and keep coming back for more. Good stuff

    I've been using the Tombow dual brush pens for years, and they always work so well. Durable, versatile, so many beautiful colors. Can't say enough good about them. Recently experimented with another brand on Amazon, that people said were nice to use. They obviously have not used these Tombow pens. By comparison, the other "brush pens" had hard nibs and the lines and strokes they produced felt rough and scratchy, not fluid at all. If you want a really nice brush tip, water-based pen, go with these Tombow dual brush.

    When possible, I prefer buying all but Crayola markers, crayons, and the like from local businesses. So, as insignificant as it may seem, before making this purchase, I checked with the managers of a couple places around town to see if any come close to the Tombow super-sale I stumbled upon at the time. Understandably, none were able to and universally, it was agreed upon: Buy them on Amazon.

    I've had a few issues buying art and craft materials through Amazon in the past. A product's featured photo gives an off-impression of a color, or one of five pens has burst in transit, or the scale of an item isn't quite as described or featured. Similar reviews for these and related Tombow products received through Amazon weren't uncommon when I bit the bullet and ordered the set.

    While I can't recall the discount off the top of my head, the difference in cost from anything anywhere for the pack was substantial enough that it negated the risk. And, one marker in the set did in fact come "dried out," or never dispersed ink as it should have. I'm not sure if that was a result of the brush pen's age or a manufacturing defect. Even so, I saved enough that, had I really wanted to, I could have gone and replaced several of the pens individually at a local store and still paid less than the item's standard price.

    I don't love the inconsistency I get with Tombow's brush pens: Sometimes they last forever, and other times, they seem to "dry out" within days of use. I'd love to see improvement there. Otherwise, if you notice these deeply-discounted via Amazon, grab 'em while you can. The purchase process, shipment, delivery were all easy-going and timely. The packaging was unaffected. And the vast majority of this brand's brush pens continue to work satisfactorily and true-to color. Best wishes in your creative endeavors -- I hope you enjoy them as I've gotten to!

    Great for journaling or handlettering. Some of the markers seemed perhaps not as "fresh" as I expected so I worry about them drying out sooner...but we'll see. Most of them are totally fine and I love this brand and type of marker as a whole. They are wonderfully versatile with the dual tips and don't bleed through paper as much as some others.
