    I can't say how well this thread performs in a sewing machine because I did not use it for that purpose.

    However, I can say that the "Tex 70"-diameter thread is extremely well suited for hand-crafts like bookmaking.

    It is thick and strong enough that you will sooner tear the paper of the book than snap the thread; the only way I was able to break it by hand at all was to knot it and pull as hard as I could (you won't snap it with your hands by accident either; it almost cut into my fingers before it finally gave).

    Most important of all, since this thread is bonded instead of merely being two smaller strands twisted together like polyester upholstery thread, it does not unravel nearly as easily, and threading it through the eye of the needle is as simple as regular cotton thread.

    The size of the spool it is wound on caused comparatively little line memory (the tendency of the thread to curl up on itself as though it were still on the spool), which made it easier to manage backlash and knots while working with long segments.

    Overall I'm very satisfied with this thread and will be using it exclusively from now on in my stitch binding activities — my only quibble is that there aren't more diverse color options to choose from and some of them aren't accurate (the purple is so dark it's almost black).

    I ordered this to use with my loom to make lanyards. It works great as the base string as it is nice and thick.

    First off, this sticks together almost too well.
    On the other hand, it is easily glued or sewn on the material. In my case, I use it on my leather projects.

    I bought 2, a black and a white.
    Mandala Crafts is a good company that I respect. I bought this to do loom beading and it seems like a good product EXCEPT when I got ready to dobead sewing, the material is a bit larger than I hoped. As I am using 11/0 Czech 2 cut beads, you can only go through the hole 2X and that's it. I have broken SO MANY BEADS. BUT it's perfect if you are going to use this material as the "warp" threads meaning the thread that goes on the actual loom to sew the beads into ( does that make sense?). I feel to use them as the "weft" it's not thin enough.
