No much to dislike really ..it's obviously not a sturdy wood ..but it does it's job very well! It's not flimsy like I thought once it's in place and I love how portable and adjustable it is!! Great for the money! Once it holding a canvas it's pretty stable. I actually prefer it to a 500 dollar huge oak easel I use in my art room ..I just might sell it and stay lightweight and portable instead! Glad I bought this!

Love this easel - well-constructed, super lightweight, works perfectly on tabletop, floor, or outdoors, whether I am sitting or standing, sets up effortlessly and oh-so-comfortable to carry around with its case with shoulder strap.

Love how compact and the feet are actually well designed.
Again, for the price, these are awesome.
However, they are de-engineered to a hair’s breadth away from uselessness.
The two I have can’t really be leveled who fully extended.
The extended part you slide in the top just barely goes in and is not ever at a 90 degree to the floor unles everything else is wonky.
The tray part also is very difficult to adjust to level to the floor and is rather sharp as others have mentioned.
Cannot really fit the whole thing I. The case easily, for fear of ripping it.
The Velcro strap is a wonderful thought but is very weak and unposiitionable.
BUT, need something easy to Cary for a table top poster? Buy it! Will is last, probably not. Is it heavy enough to be stable, nope.
Does it work? Yes.
Have I found another affordable solution, not really. I have a few really good ones for flip charts and whiteboards and for holding canvas while painting. But I wanted something small to brigh 18x24 inch posters to meetings and these are perfect.

Easels are easy to put together and use. They were stable and perfect to hold up our baby shower signs. They do the job as expected- we will be using them again! Definitely one of the better options on Amazon. I love how there’s a piece that holds the top of your sign in place so it won’t move. Just buy it!

Could not put the top rod part of the easel into the shaft. The hollow shaft was not machined properly, or the tab was not put on correctly. I think it made the shaft too small to accept the top part of the easel. There's a tab that has a flat side to it that once the top of easel is inserted, the tab is pushed down to pinch the rod and hold it in the position you desire. This was the tricky part on some of them. You really had to work with getting the tab in the right position. Never got one of them put together and returned it. Otherwise they were very nice and we used them to display posters so they looked very nice.

So funny story. I have been taking an art class for the last decade, and about 5 or 6 years ago, I got into oil painting. I would cart a whole mess of things to class with me, like a folding tabletop easel that also held my paints, a stay-wet type palette, an artist toolbox that held brushes and my mediums, and also a boxed up canvas panel. Which meant a LOT of things to carry to and from class. A couple weeks ago, I had added a nice glass jar with a metal coil inside for cleaning brushes, only it was a large jar and didn't fit into any of the things I was carrying with me. First night I brought this jar to class with me, it fell to the ground as I was leaving and broke, spilling my turpenoid all over. Knew then and there I needed to find a new setup that would hold everything and make it easier for transporting things to class. I ended up finding a Milwaukee brand rolling tool chest that I tricked out with some customized storage boxes for paints and brushes, and also for all my mediums (including a replacement for the broken brush cleaning jar). With everything in a compact space, I knew I would also need to replace my easel with something that could be folded down pretty compact, and this item fit the bill. Fairly easy to set up and take down, it fits into the tool chest perfectly. I have a smaller chest setup for my pastel supplies that I plan to order a second easel to add to. Good product for a good price. Highly recommend.

I bought this to hold a foam board and it worked out perfectly. One downfall is how to use all the pieces it came with, the instructions are not very clear. I ended up guessing how to add the bottom piece that holds the board. There is another piece that I couldn't figure out how to use, however I didn't need it. Finally, the bag the easel comes in, was torn just a bit in the corner. Overall, the easel does the job for what I need it for.
