I needed this yarn for a crochet hat for my crochet business. I only needed about 2 skeins of yarn, what I didn’t like is that I paid more for 3 skeins of yarn than I would normally typically it’s about $3-5 per skein at my usual store whereas if I would’ve bought the yarn there I would spend $15 compared to $20-$25 I spent. But none the less ended up only using 2 skeins of yarn so I have an extra skein to hold or make something with. The thickness of the yarn and the skein were on point with the store bought ones. Shipping was literally next day which allowed me to get my item done within the time frame needed. Only other thing I don’t like is you cannot return the yarn if you have any skeins left over they must be sent back as a group.

It has mostly joined at the right color change. Only drawback is when it doesn’t match up, and I still have to eventually cut and tie the next color

I have religiously avoided anything to do with granny squares for 40 years all because I despise weaving in ends. Years ago, that was no big deal, granny squares became "old hat" and crocheting single motifs was more the thing. But lately, I felt like I was missing out on some really super modern, dynamic and fun crochet patterns available by a recent resurgence. Whipping out a whole skein of squares takes a matter of hours once you figure out the fiddly stuff and get the pattern right for your own style (lots of online videos with suggestions and even new motifs for this)...it does take a little tweaking but after one or two squares, it is a dream to work with. Working up this yarn is a joy and fun!

I bought this to try because I enjoy trying new things in needlework. Red Heart has always been my favorite yarn for everyday things, but this time they missed the mark. Not crazy about the color selections, but chose one that is close to out local NFL team. Had to use a magnifying glass to read the instructions inside the label, and it took several hours to complete two rounds. Then I started finding knots in the yarn which prevented the colors from ending at the correct spot.
Great idea, wish Red Heart had offered this in fingering weight or sport weight.
Donating this yarn to Goodwill and let someone else play with it.

Overall, this is not worth the work. But I say go for it IF you don’t mind the darker dye bleeding onto a lighter color. This is obviously a mistake when dyeing the yarn. I’ll probably finish the granny square afghan but I cannot recommend this product.????

This yarn is a lifesaver for granny square fans! It lets you whip up colorful squares without switching colors or weaving in ends, making projects a breeze. It's perfect for beginners and anyone who wants to save time. While you can't pick exactly which colors go where, the surprises are fun, and the yarn creates beautiful stripes anyway. Just keep in mind that keeping tension even can be tricky, and the colors might not be perfectly distributed in every ball. But overall, this yarn is a fun and convenient way to crochet up some granny squares! All that being said, there are tricks and tips for making your colors end when needed!!
