My students like these sketchbooks because the pages are firm and thick. They can easily be torn out of the binders. More importantly they are nice to draw on and blending is easy. The binders are sturdy and fit nicely into their binders.

The books are sturdy and well bound. The pages are of thicker paper so as to not bleed through.

There might be "better" drawing paper out there as an alternative to this brand (maybe they're name brands), but this is a very high grade paper as well. It's acid free paper and you can use color pencils, charcoal, and pastels. I highly recommend, especially if you're beginning again in your art journey. Plus you get 2 spiral drawing pads with 100 sheets per pad.

I bought this for a scrap book for different magazine articles I want to keep. But I'm also a artist somewhat. This would be an excellent drawing book for an amateur or a professional. Pages are heavy weight. Don't even hesitate buy these!

Quite a big and chunky draw-book, the pages are good and thick with a slight texture, but a bit of a greyish tone.
