I've never had a black-paged scrapbook before and this is perfect! The cover is nice thick, solid cardboard (think chipboard, not corregated). The pages are a proper black & they're thick like cardstock so it will hold both tape and glue fine, as well as being able to use both sides.

I haven't used it yet because I've been debating whether to use it to scrapbook a small event like my friend's wedding or use it with my metallic and white pens/brush pens to write some inspirational quotes or something similar. When I do decide, I'll update with photos.

It's the perfect size for Polaroids or 4x6 photos if you're not fussy on getting multiple photos on each page.

The only cons I can see is that it's kind of limited to the pages included. You could always find some similar paper and add it at the end (assuming you have a hole punch for these) but the rings are only so large. Also it says "40 pages" but there's actually 20 pages proper (I'm guessing they're including both sides). But even knowing that, $8.99 isn't bad for a price. I would totally buy this again.

I keep coming across things that I want to preserve the memory of as I clear out a home we have lived in for 30+ years but just leaving them in a storage bin isn't going to keep those memories alive so I started scrapbooking.

This scrapbook has a nice, sturdy cover. The pages are a pleasant brown which is reminiscent of the paper bags you get at the grocery store. The pages are a nice weight. I've stuck receipts, photos, printed papers, envelopes, heavy greeting cards, and stickers to them. Even a child's artwork made from tissue paper stuck to cardstock that is about 1/2 and inch thick. All look nice and have held just fine.

The wire binds the book well. The pages, whether blank or with heavy kid-made artwork attached turn easily and without tearing. The brown color scheme gives it a sentimental, down-to-earth vibe.

I'm enjoying putting this book together as I uncover each new treasure from my decluttering. I would order another if I needed an additional book, I am so happy with it.

Unlike another photo album I reviewed, this album had a much sturdier cover. The only thing I would have liked is for the coil not to be silver metal, but solid grey or even solid black or white. The image on the product page shows a white coil, so it seems that the product wasn't shipped as described on the page, regretfully. So I took a star away for that reason. There were some minor and small creases on the back cover along the bottom edge, but not that big of a deal. Other than that, the craftsmanship is good. The pages are made of a nice heavy smooth paper stock. I like that they offer it the item many different colors.

The media could not be loaded.
So, I got this simple white colored scrapbook not exactly knowing what I was going to put in it.

I love that both the cover and the inside pages are the same color. I decided to use it as a vision board. I am drawing in it, and I think it just looks lovely. Each new page I use as a step to what I wish to do to get there.

The last number of pages, I am going to place magazine cutouts in a collage to complete the full vision.

I would definitely recommend this scrapbook because the pages are of a good thickness, as well as the cover. It seems to be a durable book. I feel it has an ample amount of pages. The price is good for what you get.

Nice thick quality pages. My daughter is using it for all of her graduation memories and senior year items. It's looking great so far. Couldn't be happier with it!

Got this for a book club activity and it was perfect!! The pages are nice and sturdy, and the book as a whole is simple but gorgeous. Definitely will be ordering again for the next time we finish a series!

I ordered this scrapbook to use as a memory book for some of my drawings. I wanted to be able to draw with permanent and acrylic paint markers and to place photographs in this book. I was disappointed in how the manufacturer packaged the scrapbook. It was simply wrapped in plastic, but I was lucky. The corners were not dented. The cover is rugged and durable. The 20 pages of paper inside are thick enough to hold up to my initial drawing with acrylic paint markers. The paper did not bleed through and did not warp. If the paper is strong enough for these mediums, it will certainly hold up to pencil, pen, stamping, etc. I did not attempt to paint on the paper with watercolor or acrylic paint. Washi tape is easily applied to the paper and comes right off if desired. Photographs will be easily added to scrapbook pages. Considering how inexpensive this scrapbook is, it is a significant bargain. It is highly recommended.

The paper in these books is surprisingly good for a variety of art media, so long as that media is not very wet. Pros: It takes Posca pens like a dream, basically no pilling. Colored pencils layer more readily than expected, especially with a soft, waxy lead. Neons and brights really pop on the gray paper. Neocolor II soluble crayons also seem to perform well. Cons: This paper warps with more than a touch of water. The warping in photo 2 was caused by the gouache, which I intentionally made very wet. The Neocolor II and Inktense swatches at the bottom did not cause that warping. Inktense leaves stains in the paper after it's activated, so be careful with your mark-making if you go that route.
