I'm starting an Etsy bracelet making bracelet and this has been the perfect starting kit! I have not had any problems with the quality of string, and enjoy working with it. The gold and silver is a little thicker and harder to work with but still great! The threader did break on me but aside from that everything has been great quality. The gold and silver string is STUNNING. I have not really used the pens and had to toss them, so if your traveling be aware to not have them in there because they can leak. Its smaller than you think but there is a LOT of string and beautiful color choices. 1000% worth it, if your thinking about it, get it. The clippers also work great! Left a mason jar for sizing lmao. This set is great for a beginner. It has almost everything one needs to launch into a lifetime love of embroidery. (As stated, the set does not include fabric, hoops or instructions.) The box is sturdy and a very convenient place for storing all the tools. DMC is the gold standard brand of embroidery floss. The floss included in this set is nice but it is NOT DMC quality. For most people, that will not be a problem. Beautiful items can be produced using the floss in this set. If however, you are looking for something to give as a gift to an embroidery snob, you might want to expect that the floss will be useless to them.

This is perfect. The only thing missing is a hoop and fabric. It's super small, but packs a ton of stuff into it! I love how organized it is, as well as the number of tools included that I wasn't even counting on. Wide variety of colors, super fun for home, travel, etc.

Bought for the string to make bracelets. Nice quality string and variety for a good price. Extra items were cheap and poor quality, but we didn't buy it for those items.
