Well, to be honest my boss ordered these to strengthen her existing hair extensions. She is awesome bc she was able to extract her extensions, use this little sewing kit , tightened her extension and re-installed them to her head. She said ouch a couple times, so yes they are very very pointy. She said it was fairly simple and it worked well. I would buy again.
