This was such an amazing story. I did not know what to expect. The plot, the characters, the secrets, the steamy-ness, the twists and realizations…OMG! If you haven’t read this yet, you must!!! Definitely a page turner, I had moments of having to put the book down because of what was unfolding or I just needed a moment from all the steam ???? but I picked it back up right away because I wanted to know what was going to happen next.

Ruby’s stories are definitely one of my favorites and I am looking forward to Book 2 of this beautifully written story!

The amount of times that the hunter is compelled is outrages! I hated the ending. This Hunter is supposed to be strong but is treated like a weak human. Her growth as a cheater is stunted because of this. She because becomes someone to be used and it lessons the sex scenes- reduced the hunter to be someone used just for sex. The flashbacks are the only thing that humanizes the hunter to me. The vampire seems so emotional and human which is good in one sense, but bad in another, because she’s lived so long but because of her loneliness she doesn’t think!

I gave this story 4 stars because of the potential of the plot. It’s such a great story just need better character development of the hunter.

I typically dislike flashbacks in books but I found myself wanting to skip pages for the flashback- I can see a prequel to this book, just focusing on the mother’s story. The mother’s story may developed so much more in the coming books. Her character was more flushed out than the hunter’s character in my opinion.

A good read and I would still recommend.

I'm a HUGE wlw novel fan, especially about vampires. This book offers some mystery, drama, laughter, and hot sex scenes. I'm very excited for Part II coming later this month.

I binge read all of Ruby’s books and this one was probably my favorite! It was so hard to put down because the story was so full of passion and I really enjoy a good story line with my filth. There were so many good one-liners in this story and I’m ecstatic to get the rest of this series so I can savor it all. If you’re debating it, stop. Do it.
