About this item
Ravensong is the second book in the Green Creek Series, the beloved fantasy romance sensation by New York Times bestselling author TJ Klune, about love, loyalty, betrayal, and family.
“Complex and startling... Green Creek is the perfect setting.” —Charlaine Harris
The Bennett family has a secret: They're not just a family, they're a pack. Ravensong is Gordo Livingstone's story.
Gordo Livingstone never forgot the lessons carved into his skin. Hardened by the betrayal of a pack who left him behind, he sought solace in the garage in his tiny mountain town, vowing never again to involve himself in the affairs of wolves. It should have been enough. And it was, until the wolves came back, and with them, Mark Bennett. In the end, they faced the beast together as a pack... and won.
Now, a year later, Gordo has found himself once again the witch of the Bennett pack. Green Creek has settled after the death of Richard Collins, and Gordo constantly struggles to ignore Mark and the song that howls between them. But time is running out. Something is coming. And this time, it’s crawling from within. Some bonds, no matter how strong, were made to be broken.
The Green Creek Series is for adult listeners.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heartbreakingly wonderful
They win a battle with loss very dear, but the war is coming, more than they will ever expect with betrayal in their midst.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Incredible
Gordo is my absolute favorite character trope: grumpy/mean but with a heart of gold. We find out his background and his character makes total sense what with what happened to him when he was so young. There are so many times you want to shake Gordo and tell him to stop being so stubborn but it works so well. And Mark...what a perfect match for Gordo. I loved hearing about how they met and how their relationship grew before everything was ripped away from them. The ending is perfect; we get Gordo and Mark's HEA but still are left on a cliff hanger! The plot is sooooo good!
This pack has my heart and soul, I love them so so so much!! I cannot wait for books 3 and 4, I'm trying not burn through this series in only a week but I can't help myself. I can't think of anything else except for the Bennett Pack! This series is amazing, you've gotta pick it up!

4.0 out of 5 stars A stunning sequel!
This time around we follow Gordo, the Bennett pack's designated witch. Centered in his tumultuous past and present, he's come a long way. But his resilience and perseverance will be tested when a new enemy threatens all that he holds dear. Can Gordo lead the pack to victory and bridge the gap between him and his mate Mark?
Like the first novel, I loved the setting. Green Creek is a strange small town. There's a peculiar magic lying underneath that is still something of a mystery, but we also get some change of scenery throughout the novel as well.
Gordo was a fun character, though I did have some minor issues along the way. He's stubborn and powerful, yet uniquely flawed in his personal relationships. There's been some major heartache in his past, and by exploring that in this book gave him a lot of depth. However, if you think you know stubborn, think again! Gordo just cannot let things go, and it takes some very desperate situations to get him to consider budging.
This caused something of a disconnect with me. On one hand, I understand why he felt the way he did, but individuals were offering him olive branches or other opportunities that he just wouldn't take. It kind of got on my nerves after a while. Maybe this is why I don't get along with fellow Tauruses sometimes. Too many bulls in one china shop.
That being said, I loved the romance in this one. You just want to root for Mark and Gordo against the odds, and they are indeed very big odds to deal with. There's also a lot of great werewolf and magic fight scenes for the action junkie. I thought it was pretty well balanced together, though I would have liked shorter chapters overall. Some of them were nearly an hour long, and I felt they could've been cut up more effectively for the average reader on their lunch break.
All things said, this was a great continuation of the series and I can't wait to sink my teeth into the next one!

Green Creek Series Book 2
My Review:
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: ????????
Pages 512
Genre: Paranormal/Fantasy
Tropes: Fated Mates, Enemies to Lovers, M/M
Once again I’m in awe of this authors writing style. It lures you in and holds you captive.
You totally fall in love with each of the characters in the pack and will find yourself battling right along beside them. There are sections of this book where I longed to be able to fight by their side and others where I wanted to slap one of them up besides his head and tell him to get with the program and that his parents were WRONG.
This book is Gordo and Mark’s story. We see part of Wolfsong through their point of view that makes the reader understand the situations clearer and how it affected them personally.
They are two 40 something men who are fated mates and who have known each other since they were very young. One whose love fights for their bond and the other who constantly holds on to a hurt that the other had no control over. He constantly hears his parents voices telling him untruths and instead of listening to his heart he causes them to waste years of their lives in turmoil instead of happiness.
Then when one of them is on the brink of being lost to an unknown virus the other one wakes up and wants their future BUT there is no cure. You’ll have to read this book and series to find out what happens.
I very highly recommend this book and series!
I can’t wait to start Heartsong but I have to read a book club book first. After that Heartsong is definitely next!!
