Law and Zo truly deserved each other. Law had everything going against him yet he managed to stay strong. This book truly shows how you can’t judge a person.
Sometimes they are going through some heavy stuff that you don’t know about.

It would be cool if we a got another book about Dame. Their Dad was trash. It also gave another perspective on the mom and why she stayed. Kat was kind of annoying with her constant inquiries of Zo’s sex life with Law. But I’m glad she found her boo with Doctor Daniel. Ro was a cool background character. He was truly loyal to Law which was a good thing.

This was a good read and I truly enjoyed how KC intertwined all of the characters together.

5.0 out of 5 stars When two characters find peace and completion in each other.

When two characters balance each other out, it’s sheer perfection. Law and Zori deserved the love they gave each other. We Law realized it was Zo he was all her. I love it when the hero is decidedly committed. The pacing of the story was perfect. The chemistry between the characters was perfect. The backstories was interesting and complete. This authors handing of humor and completely realistic views of life was spot on; addiction, transitions to a second career, adoption, abuse of power. All of this was done in a way that did not distract from the romance of Law and Zori. I really enjoyed this story. It definitely is a good read.

I truly enjoyed this journey! It was very well written, and I loved all the different elements of family and friends who were more family than friends. Tank's song, When We, is one of my fav. And KCM didn't disappoint with naming this the same title! Bravo ????????????????????????

4.0 out of 5 stars I enjoyed it

I like the romance novels this author has been putting out lately. This was a grownup love story with characters who had real life flaws and different ways of coping with their personal demons. Both Law and Zo were trying to find their footing after life hand3d them son pretty messed up blows. It was a little slow in the beginning but it wrapped up perfectly with some much needed nemesis getting their just due. There are some characters mentioned that I’m curious to know about like Dame, does he get his life back on track and Zori’s new client Sariah and her career that tied bit into her life definitely piqued my curiosity. In either case I love reading books by KC Mills and am looking forward to whatever comes next

I am a fan of KC Mills always but I was soooooo grateful that Miss Laurel's narration was on point. She has come a long way from earlier books and I am happy about it!! Zo and Law were the epitome of couple goals..communication was key and they worked it from the beginning to the end..Awesome work and I'm ready to see what Dame gonna do. Also we need some get back for Miss Rhee...maybe next book??????

This book was a surprisingly good find. It popped up after I read something else so I downloaded a sample. My interest was piqued so it was read in it's entirety. Zo was good people. The ride or die friendship she and Kat had was great. They encouraged greatness for each other but were just as present when they weren't at their best or in love with what was happening at the moment for the other. Zo and Law. They became a great team. Family was better with the connections between those chosen added to some of those related by blood. Communication was a staple in the business relationship between Zo and Law and it carried over into their personal one. The dialogue between the characters was on point. Everything came together in a not so easily put together package. This was a most enjoyable read for this fan of HEA tales.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read! A fun read!

I really enjoyed this book! I could not stop reading it, I was so drawn to Law & Zori. I will forever love the way KC crafts the perfect banter and flirting between her characters, it just tugs on my heartstrings and reminds you of the fun and excitement when you first start dating someone.

Because I just didn’t want it to end, I wish there was a little more push and pull before the main characters got together, but that’s just me being selfish lol.

And I’m always here for the alpha males!

Thank for you this awesome read and inspiring all of us minority indie writers!

I loved this story just as much as the first time. Zoe fiercely loved her man but deserved all of it. Excellent writing. Editing was perfect. Sexy and intimate sex. Love vulnerability in men. A must-read!
