I can say, without question, that this is the best Volume so far. And I’m not saying that just because it’s the latest one. There are so many revelations, personal and plot-related, that you risk getting whiplash. THe further along we get, the more the stories from earlier in the series start to connect like a complex spider web.

See what I did there?

In all seriousness, this is probably the most serious of the Volumes so far. There’s so much death and destruction happening here, it’s hard to recommend this to younger readers; I guess I’m not one to talk, seeing as I grew up reading Stephen King and watching horror movies. Still, I can’t sing Okina Baba and Kiryu Tsukasa’s praises enough. The art never ceases to amaze me and works to heighten the already engaging and entertaining story. A partnership running on all cylinders.

While this installment is definitely one of the darkest, if not the darkest so far, there is enough humor to give off small rays of light. We get to see the reasoning behind some of the more dastardly deeds performed, and yet, you can’t help but feel for a lot of the characters even as they’re performing said deeds. While we’ve yet to catch up to the human stories earlier in the series, the journey there is such a great one. It actually has me thinking about going back to read the earlier “S” stories to experience them with more background. I’ll probably hold off on that for now.

With this installment we got betrayals, alliances and character development I didn’t think would actually happen. The stakes are higher than ever, the the real reason for the war is revealed, and we get to learn a bit more about D and the gods. This series constantly surprises me, and I’m eagerly awaiting what happens in the next Volume.

5.0 out of 5 stars A bit long winded

The story is still great, and the character development is amazing! However, while the stream of consciousness writing style really lets the reader see the development of the characters, it really slows the story down. In all honesty, if the stream of consciousness wasn’t so redundant and reetative in the narration, this book could have easily been half its length without loosing any storyline or character development. Despite that, I still love the story, and while I don’t think it’s as good as the first couple books, it’s still really good

5.0 out of 5 stars White's finally getting to it

I don't usually ship characters. It's been amazing reading about Sheori/Wakaba/White growing into the confident goddess(Mwah ha ha haa!) with unbreakable conviction she was always meant to be. Yea, I think the translation got it wrong it's a dramatic evil laugh, or a haughty cackle. Godhood is something to laugh derisively about.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent volume!

It has been the best epilogue I ever read for a light novel.

The whole book was as good as ever and I must add that I like the way the author justifies some turns on the events; sometimes the explanations for that aren't quite good, but they are decent overall, and that's something most light novels lack.

4.0 out of 5 stars Major plot progression.

I liked the story, the over all plot was progressed, but in some instances with the inner monolog the characters would say pretty much the same thing over and over agian. Kinda frustrating. But it was a good read.

White, Mera, everyone and even the demon lord grows with character development in this novel! I also love the serious tone and the ending especially, and you know what? I was worried about this god thing, worri d about no skills because I liked that simple progression of our beloved kumoko leveling her skills but I'm really beginning to like the whole god thing. Again, the developments killed it this volume.

Just as always great volume!! More important stuff happening here than in the others. Lots of important movements and decisions here, we got new reincarnations, character growth and exciting new information about the nature of this world WOW lots to see here. As always if you liked the other ones you will like this one as well. I read the web novel and I can already see things are going to be better organized and easier to understand here than there, can’t wait for more!!!

This series is phenomenal. It just is, and I don't think anyone else who has made it this far would disagree.
