A long read and somewhat confusing and hard to follow. However, the note from the author in the beginning explains how this was at the beginning of their career and as she grows in her craft her writing improves. With this tidbit of information provided, I kept an open mind and continued on.

Sonya is a succubus who hates needing to feed off of humans to survive. Her human side does not coexist happily with her succubus side.

The gist of the story is that Sonya is the first champion to stop the oncoming calamity that will unleash death and destruction on all the realms. In order to do this she has to resolve 7 sins with the help of her mates, that she still has to find.
Sonya's quest to find her mates and resolve all of their sins takes her around the world and to hell and back and then back to hell again.
While it can be hard to follow at times I recommend reading it as the following books all take place in this world and characters our reoccurring and help clear up any lingering questions.

Makes sense the author included a disclaimer that this was her debut work. The plot was everywhere and the spice was mediocre at best. I still enjoyed Sonya’s journey into self discovery

Sonya’s journey was fearful and heart racing, but also exciting and thrilling. I was on the edge of my seat as I tried to unravel who was what sin, and what Sonya would have to do to redeem these sins. I can’t even review each part separately because to me it was just one ongoing story that I didn’t want to end.

In the beginning of this book the author has written a note speaking to this book as compared to other works in her catalog. She states the book is raw and complex; it's not a joke. I think this piece could have undergone at least one more round of editing to ensure the story line was cohesive. Several plot lines died along the way without any true closure. I was interested in exploring Agent Anderson's story as he had a great impact on the FMC and one of the main harem characters, Luke. However relatively early on Agent Anderson disappeared from the story. In addition some of the harem characters feel underdeveloped particularly Jet and Nate. Nate, being the second harem member introduced and having an interesting story being a human who had to measure up in a supernatural world, was rarely the focus of any scene. His impact on the plot is more as a cameo than any true value. In the end, I enjoyed the characters which were developed (Luke, Sonya, Xavier, Derek, Sarah) and the world the author built. I admire the author's willingness to acknowledge that this book would not be suited for everyone's expectations of a published work. It did help temper my expectations and allow me to enjoy the book as written rather than focus on its flaws.
