Ive often wondered what happens behind the scene of political campaigns. These women have poured out their highs, lows heartache, and successes. They have also laid out the blueprint for others. Thank you

The title grabbed my attention as I am aiming to more in the political sector as I've long recognized the systems that governs my life, community, world-politics. This book offers such a blueprint on how to get started in politics, it offers inspiration, hope, motivation history through the lens of African-American women for women and others at large. The women's stories in this book is an outright defiance of where black women do not belong, but have blazed a trail-way for me to belong if I do chose. Women of this book, thank YOU for your service!

5.0 out of 5 stars For ANY Girls Who Have Considered

I saw Donna Brazille on tv discussing the book she and three others wrote and ordered it immediately. It was a bit confusing which one was writing toward the middle of the book, but plow through and read it to the end. Well worth it to see the relationships among the four women and to examine the roles of friends.

Wow. For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Politics allows women of color to be free and voice their concerns and opinions. This book allows women to say what they mean and mean what they say. If you are a sensitive person who does not allow yourself to be open-minded, this is not the book for you.

For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Politics would make for a good book club read or a book used in a Political Science class or Political Communication class. Great job.

I received an advanced copy from the publisher via NetGalley. The review is my personal opinion and not that of NetGalley.

An excellent book for political junkies. Ms. Brazille has seen it all, and writes well about the process.
Great read.
