About this item
Delton is convinced Adar is his mate…until Oliver shows up.
From the moment he meets Adar, Delton knows they’re meant to be together. So what if Adar doesn’t notice him? Delton isn’t in a hurry. Until Oliver joins the pack.
The second Adar lays eyes on the sweet, fragile omega, he knows he’s found his fated mate. Hell, everyone knows because Adar won’t leave Oliver’s side, protecting him 24/7. But he’s patient, more than willing to wait until Oliver has healed.
Oliver doesn’t question his connection with Adar, but things aren’t as easy as they seem. Adar has needs Oliver can never satisfy—but Delton can. But why would the beta even offer to help Adar find the release he needs through impact play?
When Oliver discovers Delton’s feelings for Adar, he’s determined to play matchmaker. But matches can lead to a fire…and with no one to control it, who will get burned?
Dragon’s Surprise is the sixth book in the Irresistible Dragons series, which needs to be listened to in order. This book ends on a cliffhanger, and the storyline will continue in the next book.

Meet the central characters for this novel!
Adar- Alpha Wolfshifter
Oliver- Omega Dragonshifter
Delton- Beta Wolfshifter
Rhene- Alpha Wolfshiter
Erwan- Alpha Dragonshifter
I’ve been reading this wolfshifter and dragonshifter omegaverse series and the wolfshifter omegaverse prequel to this series for a while now. Nora Phoenix writes captivating and likable characters that you root for and who you want to have their happy ending.
This book centers on mostly two relationship dynamics. One is a potential triad relationship: Adar, Oliver, and Delton. The other is Rhene and Erwan trying to establish the true Doyle Clan and their discussions with the Dragon Council. This one ends in a cliffhanger so I was biting my nails by the end. I want to know what happens next so bad. Love this author and this series. I want to see how the relationships develop and what ends up happening with the character who, at the end, was left in a predicament, we should say.
This novel touches on several topics that I found intriguing but may be triggering. There is a vivid scene where Oliver has a panic attack that was well-written and emotional to read. Oliver suffers from severe sexual and physical trauma and his journey towards healing begins in this novel. Adar enjoys “impact play” and struggles with his identity and what he likes to do in the bedroom and for release. Delton is the community’s psychologist and at first I was concerned about how he helps Adar and Oliver navigate their issues since the psychologist-patient dynamic can have a power imbalance. However, the way Delton helps Adar and Oliver was sincere and I felt Adar and Oliver were in safe hands. I’m eagerly waiting for the next installment in this series!
*This series features: mpreg, omegaverse, dragonshifters, wolfshifters, polyamorous relationships, mature scenes suited for people over the age of 18.

Adar knows that he and Oliver are fated mates but his need for something that he knows Oliver can’t give him comes in the way for him, scared of what implications it can lead to he seeks help and counsel with Delton the Pack therapist to sort out his feelings and thoughts.
Oliver was one of the dragons that ran away with Fallon when they got the knowledge that the dragons had betrayed and also weren’t treating their Omegas kindly, It's been a little while since they came to the pack but Oliver still is working through the emotional trauma that his old dragon pack have given him. One thing is for sure tho, he knows he can trust Adar as he has been watching and guarding him and the other omegas since the night they arrived and has been nothing but kind to him. Also, his slow-growing bond with him gives him the assurance he needs.
This is book 6 in the series and I can’t wait to read the next book and to know how the conflict with the dragons will be resolved as it came to a cliffhanger of an ending in this book and I’m desperate to know how it will go for both packs as a conflict seem unavoidable from how it looks like in the book.
As always it’s an event-filled story from Nora and a book you don’t want to miss out on if you’re a fan of her series.
