I love this book for its simplicity. I read a lot of books on mindset and appreciate how forward thinking he was at the time. Pearls of wisdom we can all use and be reminded of. I just wish the publishers of these types of books would use more elegant covers - this cover is so unattractive and it's the kind of book you would want to leave out on your desk or pick up in a home library - can you please work on making elegant covers to go with great words.

The authenticity of the book The 38 Letters from J.D. Rockefeller to His Son is questionable. Initial thoughts were that The 38 Letters was a translation into Chinese and then back into English of a book that the Rockefeller Archive Center's Director Emeritus Joseph W. Ernst, edited back in 1994, titled "Dear Father"/"Dear Son": Correspondence of John D. Rockefeller and John D. Rockefeller Jr. However, after reviewing the books I discovered that is not the case. Also considered was that the book was published from the letters between John D. Rockefeller (JDR) Sr. and JDR Jr. that are available online in the JDR JR. Personal Papers on the Rockefeller Archive Center's website, but that is not the case.

Also to question the accuracy of the letters in the book The 38 Letters - since one of the publicized letters mentions JDR Jr graduating from Brown in 1890 - but he graduated in 1897 (See wikipedia). The book also has a letter from 1902 that mentions JDR Jr withdrawing from the directors of Citibank... But Citibank wasn't named Citibank until 1976 at the time that JDR Jr. resigns from the bank in 1902, it is called National City Bank of New York. Letter 32 from July 24, 1910 mentions Kikwit - which is I believe the family home Kykuit (maybe this misspelling is due to the double translation).
