About this item

An irresistibly sexy, emotionally charged MM romance between a broody American and a charming Brit, from number one NYT best seller Lauren Blakely and performed with duet narration by Teddy Hamilton and Shane East!

Look, when I met the sexy, witty Brit on the streets of London last night, I had no idea who he was. He was just that hot guy I wanted to have a drink with, so I asked him out for my first evening in town. One thing almost led to another. After a midnight kiss, we made plans for a whole lot more the next day.

But when I unlock the door to my rental in the morning, the English hottie is lounging on the couch like he lives here too. Great. For the next year, I’ll be sharing a tiny flat with the sexiest guy I’ve ever known.

Time for a few simple rules—don’t walk around the flat wearing only a towel, don’t spend our nights together exploring London, and don’t crack open my secrets for him. Even as I smash all those rules, I try to resist falling for the cocky charmer. But after a taste of his lips, I give all the way in, telling myself one night, and we won’t fall in love.

Too bad in the morning, I discover that hiding my true feelings is the least of my worries, compared to a twist I never see coming.

Hopelessly Bromantic is the first novel in a scorching, emotional, hilarious, two-book epic romance that'll take you from London to New York, from Paris to Los Angeles, and back home. Performed with a full supporting cast including Vanessa Edwin, J. F. Harding, James Joseph, Faye Adele, Evan Parker, Shakira Shute, Robbie Martino, Blake Lockheart, Stephanie Németh-Parker, and Stella Hunter.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfection!!

I have been DYING to get my hands on this book and let me tell you, it was more than worth the wait!! Hopelessly Bromantic made me smile, sigh...and gasp. I fell for both of these characters and was captivated by their story right from the start. I am chomping at the bit to get my hands (and ears!) on Here Comes My Man!!

Hopelessly Bromantic is the story of TJ and Jude. You may remember TJ from some of Lauren Blakely's other books BUT if this is your first foray into the Blakelyverse no worries!! Trust me when I say you'll fall in love with both men here.

I knew I was going to love TJ. I just knew. He's smart, witty, sweet and just a tad vulnerable in regards to his dreams. I loved watching him find his true self and follow his path. I was smitten with him from the start-and I certainly wasn't the only one. I absolutely adored him.

Oh, Jude. Jude is special. This author has a talent for giving voices to characters that are just so incredibly authentic and Jude is a great example of that. He is trying so hard to get his big break, to follow his dream. Seeing the direction he took and how things played out all made perfect sense to me. Now, I'm going to admit there were two moments that were Jude-centric that had me gasping and then chanting a certain word-but I'll let you get there on your own. I just want to hug him.

The moment these two meet you know they are just destined for more-it's just a matter of how they'll get there. These two had a hell of a ride-moments you'll see coming and definitely moments you won't. But their connection through it all is unapologetically raw and real. I have a thing for first kisses. They're my kryptonite in a book. This first kiss (and each kiss thereafter) was off the charts. Their sexy times were blisteringly hot. But there's more to them than that (though I'm certainly not complaining about it) and I appreciated how these two respected each other and grew throughout the book.

Now this IS book one in a duet. So there are things I can't say but I will say I had to compose myself for a hot second more than once!

I'm not kidding when I say I was captivated from the start. These characters just drew me into their story and I was not ready for it to end! I loved all the little Easter eggs that this author is so good at sprinkling throughout her books. Nothing felt rushed to me at all, it just flowed so well and left me wanting more. I know I'll be re-reading this duet for sure and falling all over again each time.

I had the pleasure of listening to an ALC of this book as well and the pairing of Teddy Hamilton and Shane East (along with several other AMAZING voices) is perfect. It's like listening to a play hearing these characters brought to life. Even having read the book I was still feeling all the feels LISTENING to it being brought to life. I am in constant awe of these narrators and can't wait to hear more of them together.

Grab this book NOW!! It is worth more than five stars-seriously. Be prepared to fall in love-and to be on the edge of your seat!! Hopelessly Bromantic is already on my re-read/re-listen list and I can't WAIT for Here Comes My Man! I absolutely highly recommend this book!!
(I have to admit...I do speak fluent exclamation point...no matter what TJ says about that LOL)

4.0 out of 5 stars That epilogue though...I need more TJ & Jude!

4.5 stars

I have been so anxious to learn who TJ's "the one who got away" is...and the reveal was worth the wait. Jude-Just Jude-although there is no "just" about him, was such a great character. Where TJ was cautious and internalized his feelings, Jude came across as adventurous and open to exploring everything they could in their short time together. They really do balance each other so well. I listened to the audiobook and loved how the narrators portrayed TJ and Jude. The typical flirtatious banter and swoony moments that I've come to expect from an LB book were all front and center, as well as the emotional connections during the spicier moments. My only issue with the storyline is that the couple's time apart-seven years-was such a big part of the story, it felt a little like I got whiplash when they were suddenly back together and in love. That being said, I am all-in for this relationship and have already pre-ordered the second part of this duet because I need TJ and Jude to have their happily ever after—like now! That epilogue has me so excited for what's to come!

5.0 out of 5 stars I am hopelessly in love with Hopelessly Bromantic

I am hopelessly in love with Hopelessly Bromantic! I cannot wait for Here Comes My Man - the second book in this MM duet.

I'm a big fan of Lauren Blakely's romances. Generally speaking, you can count on her for loads of feels, low angst and romance that makes you giddy with stars in your eyes as you fall in love right along with her characters. Blakely's duets provide a little more angst than the average standalone, but they provide so much more fun, romance and humor, too, and the angst is so worth the payoff.

Jude and TJ (no, I won't tell you what the TJ stands for - you have to read or listen for that gem) are both such fun, engaging, and totally swoon-worthy characters. From the moment TJ meets "Just Jude" in London, through their reunion in LA, this first book takes us on a journey right along with them. They try so hard to just remain friends, but they are clearly destined to be so much more from the moment they meet.

The ending of this book is such a amazing rollercoaster of emotions. I'm (not so) patiently waiting for the end of this duet because I need to see how Jude and TJ get to their happily ever after so badly. They deserve it.

The narration of this audio is FANTASTIC. First off, full cast is so much fun. It's so immersive and so full of emotion. The narration team assembled is simply top-notch. Shane East and Teddy Hamilton are our amazing leads, Jude and TJ respectively. They're joined by veritable legends in the narration field in the supporting roles, with Vanessa Edwin, J. F. Harding, James Joseph, Faye Adele, Evan Parker, Shakira Shute, Robbie Martino, Blake Lockheart, Stephanie Németh-Parker, and Stella Hunter. Honestly, I can't say enough about this all-star cast, and how wonderfully they brought Ms. Blakely's words to life. Plus, the bloopers at the end are such a fun treat. It's a true delight.
