About this item

Evan just wants a quiet life where he escapes into books, drinks a ridiculous amount of coffee, and devours every muffin in sight. But then he's transported to another world with magic, sword-wielding knights with big... hearts, and men who find him too adorable to resist.
Complicated? Well, that's the understatement of the century.
And for Evan, the adventure is only beginning.

Book 1 in a low-angst "why choose" romance series from author Jaclyn Osborn! Follow Evan, a snarky bookworm, as he's whisked away to a fantasy world with a ton of hotties, a dark forest that may or may not be filled with monsters, and a mischievous cat boy who loves cake.

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect book for relaxing on the shore of a lake on a hot summer day.

This read was genuinely hilarious, warm, and sweet. Light on plot, but heavy on characterization, I fell in love with the characters and enjoyed the story for what it is meant to be: A low-stakes, cozy tale of magic, romance, and witty humor.
There were plenty of steamy moments that were well written also.

10/10 recommend this read if you want an uplifting story that you can trust to carry you through the entire journey in one piece, without the emotional tension of much conflict. The book isn’t free from conflict entirely, but it manages to keep it to a soft simmer while the author succeeds at grabbing readers and keeping them wanting more through other means.

Did that paint a good picture for y’all? Seriously, though, I loved this book so much. Let me tell you the juice, so you can read it and love it, too.

So Evan’s life sucks. He’s just bored and lonely. He goes to work and goes home. He does enjoy some things like talking to his one friend at his job, making pastries at work, and reading. That’s all. Sad, yeah? Well one night Evan’s kindle broke (god that’s such a nightmare please let that never happen to me), and he decides he’ll just head out to the town fair. While he’s there he meet this magician of sorts, Lupin. Lupin gives him a wishing stone to take home. Obviously the stone is a joke because magic isn’t real. But still, Evan wishes he could go somewhere where he belongs, and find people who loves him for who he is. And then Evan goes to sleep. Imagine Evan’s surprise and confusion when he wakes up in some magic fantasy world. AND imagine his shock when everyone adores him, friendly adoring and romantically adoring. His wish definitely came true.

This is a why choose romance. Meaning Evan has many lovers, and he doesn’t choose between them. They love him, and he loves them. This isn’t cheating because each party knows what is going on and they are all accepting of it. It’s such a fun time I promise. Evan has 2 lovers in this book, and the sex between them was so good. We got some DP scenes, and I was in heaven. There was also some magic used during sex and that made it even more fun. I’ve never read anything like this book. I absolutely adored this. I wished it was 1000 pages long.

The sex was fabulous, but I loved everything else as well. I laughed out loud so much reading this book. Evan was hilarious. I loved reading the parts where he would say some sort of slang, and the characters would be like ???? are you alright?? They also were so appalled at his clothes in the beginning and it cracked me up. He was wearing these briefs that had hot dogs on them, and the characters were like what is on your body Evan. I loved it. I loved the characters as well. They were all so sweet and so funny. Evan made so many friends in this new world, and I was so happy that he was finally happy. Gah I could gush about this book all day long.

I wish I would’ve read this book sooner, but I’m also glad I read it now because now I’m closer to the second release date. I’m having to find things to keep me busy, or I’ll start whining about how I can’t wait for the next book. It’s torture honestly.

So please read this book and try and tell me it’s not the cutest thing you’ve ever read. Love you!

Sent to a Fantasy World Volume 1

Not a standalone but can be read as a standalone. No cliffhanger. No cheating.
HEA/HFN. MMM Romance. Fantasy Romance. 'Why Choose'. Sweet and Cute. Non-angsty. Such fun.

1POV, 1st person, past tense. This kindle edition 335 pages, 28th June 2022.

This was enjoyable, pretty good and down the path of Feel Good, Light romantic fun, and Sweet and Cute mixed with light Fantasy. A very easy read. Well written, well balanced for me. The dialogue worked for me. plot too. I've really nothing negative to say. Overly complex it isn't and that's just great as it is! It's romantic, light and fun fantasy romance without any darker overtones. It's comfortable and entertaining stuff you sometimes wish to wrap yourself in. And this does it.

Absolutely loved this the entire way through. This is a delight of a book that had me laughing out loud and grinning at the pages like a dork! It’s rare for me to love side characters as much as main characters/love interests, but I LOVE Kuya! He’s so adorable! This book is on my favorites list and has also made its way onto my super exclusive comfort reads list (to bring the total up to three now). I’m going to be buying a second paperback copy, bc I couldn’t wait till the Kindle version was released to read this and my current copy is now well-loved. The cover is beautiful and I’ll want to display it on my favorites bookshelf at home, so I’ll be displaying my second copy and the first one can keep me company by my bed lol. This book is so joyful. Reading it is like curling up in a fuzzy blanket-it’s so comforting and warm. I’ll be recommending this book to all my bookish friends and also leaving a review on Goodreads bc a book this lovely should be shared with as many people as possible! Thanks to the Author for sharing this delight with us!

5.0 out of 5 stars It’s been a while

It’s been a long time since I’d read a book by Jaclyn Osborn, but it’s good to see that she hasn’t lost her touch. The first time I saw the title of this book, I rolled my eyes and thought “immediately no”. But I decided to try it anyway and I’m so glad I did. I wanted to hurry up and do this review so I could get to the next book. There’s a bit of a cliffhanger here so I’m hoping it doesn’t cause the boys any problems (fingers crossed).

World building and character descriptions done very well. There were funny moments, and some sweet, and some hot. I liked everyone except Prince Cedric, and I don’t feel bad for hoping he dies in Book 2.

Very enjoyable, not high literature but it's not meant to be. Relaxing, a bit sexy wish fulfillment style. Very consumable. Leading to sequel.

This book series has a lot of love in it. It hits me in the feels, and I understand where he is coming from. These books have a good balance of raunchy comedy, and at the same time makes me laugh or smile. The only downside with this series is that it is WAY too short. I am looking forward to hopefully many more books and that they will make the whole thing into audio books.
