From a #1 New York Times bestselling author, the 6:20 Man returns, this time sent to the Pacific Northwest to aid the in a complicated FBI case—and he’s about to come face-to-face with his nemesis, the girl on the train.

Travis Devine has become a pro at accomplishing any mission he's given. But this time it’s not his skills that send him to Seattle to aid the FBI in escorting orphaned, twelve-year-old Betsy Odom to a meeting with her uncle, who’s under federal investigation. Instead, he’s hoping to lay low and keep off the radar of an enemy–the girl on the train.

But as Devine gets to know Betsy, questions begin to arise around the death of her parents. Devine digs for answers, and what he finds points to a conspiracy bigger than he could’ve ever imagined.

It might finally be time for Devine and the girl on the train to come face-to-face. Devine is going to find out the difference between his friends and his enemies–and in some cases, they might well be both.

5.0 out of 5 stars Complex and Wonderful Baldacci book

Its time to change the title of this series from the 6:20 man to the Travis Devine series. In this third installment Devine is tasked by Homeland Security to help the FBI safeguard a 12 year old girl. But from who or what? The book is a twisted , complex, wonderful story. The girls parents have been murdered and the girls criminal uncle wants custody. This criminal uncle is willing to testify against a terrorist organization that has credible plans to overthrow the US government. Devine has to unwind a complex web while protecting the girl. And into this tangled web we also have the mysterious girl from the train who tried to assasinate Devine in book 1 of this series. Who can he trust? The action is non stop. The characters are pretty well developed. And there are multiple surprises throughout the book. Baldacci fans should love this book. I did.

Mr. Baldacci has delivered again. This is another fun and exciting thriller involving Travis Devine. This may appear to be a simple job for Devine, but things array and Devine will need his skills and assist from many to unpack this mystery. This is a fun read a number of interesting characters that make for a creative mystery. I am so looking forward to the next 6:20 Man.

I’ve been reading the Baldacci books for many years now and love them! This story moves along briskly, and the characters are well-defined. What do I want from a Baldacci book? Action! And, like all his previous books, the action is there, sometimes hitting the reader when probably not expected … which I appreciated. David Baldacci: I’ve been hooked for a long time, and that won’t change! Please keep them coming!

Wow. What a great book. It took me a moment to reacquaint myself with the previous storyline about Devine. But. Boy, what a ride when I started to immerse myself in the story. Well written and fast paced. The only bad part was when the book came to an end. ????

Baldacci crafts another thrilling mystery involving a tangled web of espionage and the overthrow of America. For the reader drawn to solving a twisted plot between good and evil, this work is a sure winner.

The reader is wrapped up in an exciting page turner that does a fine job if character development. The elements of good are sometimes disguised in unlikely robes. Those that seem to be evil, Uncle Danny for example, are revealed to be a true rescuer of the damsel, Betsy, in distress.

Harkening to the political overthrow of America by a radically powerful group bent on changing America is determined to create an America of political supporters into a nation of unwitting followers. At the plot climax, Travis Devine proves to be a somewhat tarnished knight in shining armor.

A work of fiction, well worth the investment of the reader's time of sheer enjoyment.
