It is a useless waste of paper. It is written in large type widely spaced with lots of blank pages. The few valid ideas it contains would fit into 2 or 3 pages. It is one of those books that are intended to be purchased but not intended to be at all useful.

Written by a local. You don’t get the usual “where to eat - nightlife - historical sites. You do get her opinion of what you should not miss in Galway.

Liked: traffic and driving tips, noting only 2 public toilets in Galway, hmm...

Did not like: not enough info on the town or a good sightseeing walk to take as found in other books. Nothing mentioned about the music scene or art scene.

Do not waste your money on this book, unless you don't have access to Google Maps. This is a shallow fly-by of Galway and really doesn't provide any insight into Galway or the surrounding areas - at least what I expected. Pubs - got it. Restaurants - ok. Layout of the town - I'm sleeping by now. No history of the town. No detail regarding what to visit. Surely (and I know it does) Galway has much much more to offer than what is covered in this publication. Again - didn't learn anything I couldn't have found with Google Maps - yes, that is the depth of research and writing this book provides.

1.0 out of 5 stars Very little info. Tossed it in the recycle bin shortly after reviewing it. Don't waste your money.

Big print and double space to make it look like a bigger book than it is. Tiny amount of useful information.
