About this item

I hate Galaxy 6781. HATE it!

One last job. The bounty of a lifetime.

It wasn’t supposed to end with me on a slave planet and my entire crew dead. So, when the chance to escape presented itself, I took it. Had I known more about my fellow escapee, I might have reconsidered. When Grantham, crowned prince of Ditali, tried giving me some schpiel about how the universe has chosen us to be together, as in together ‘together’, I shot that theory down stat. I mean, I’m not even into males.

Except…now he says he’s dying. Dying in the sense that because one handsome bounty hunter rejected our so-called ‘fating’, he’s literally wasting away before my eyes. Sad, but what do I care? We’re strangers. The debris field we’re approaching can kiss my backside, right along with my lack of flight skills because as much as I’m not into males, I’m not ready to die. They’d better throw me a parade when we get to his planet. Galaxy 6781, I really, really, really hate you.

A satirical, scifi, MM romance.

Cole and Grant are just the best!!!! Their story is filled with passion, tender moments and hilarious banter! I was laughing my heart out during the entire book. My heart swelled for them when they had to face the complexity of their emotions, but it was such an enjoyable read I didn't want to put it down. I totally recommend this story to anyone that wants to have good laugh while enjoying really hot spicy scenes and sweet romantic moments too!

This is a fun SFF book about a grumpy, hurting human named Cole and his kind Ditali mate, Grantham. They first meet while enslaved, but soon escape. Cole has never been attracted to men before and he doesn't really entrust himself to anyone. Can he let himself trust and love? This book has a lot of passionate encounters and plenty of Cole's sarcastic, dry humor. The unusual alien details keep things interesting.

Hilarious and tender, one of my favorite space couples. Five stars for the pleasure of reading how the transforming power of love heals us all. Here’s to big green men ????

Spoilers in the review~~~~~~~~~~Spoilers in the review. ~~~~~~This was hard to rate. More 3.5 stars. Cole works for a galactic bounty hunter company, but his ship is attacked and he is kidnapped by giant monster aliens. He is enslaved to work mining valuable minerals.
During a riot he and his fellow prisoner, a giant green alien manage to steal a space ship and escape.

The next 2/3 of the book is literally Cole and his fellow escapee Grantham being literally stuck together like dogs in heat for 12 days because the universe chose them for each other for “fating”. And if they don’t choose each other, Grantham literally dies.
So they are stuck together for 12 days having sex, while Cole is hateful and acts kind of like a jerk the entire time, meanwhile Grantham is ecstatically, happy and grateful because fate has found him his mate .
There were several aspects of this that were very humorous, and I really liked the character of Grantham .
But the whole premise of fating and then upon landing on Granthams home planet the very celebratory public viewing of the fating sex just didn’t flow for me. For once I agreed with Cole’s loudly obnoxious objections.
The epilogue was an HEA, but left a bit of a cliffhanger with the unusual way that babies are conceived and incubated on the planet.
Overall, I didn’t hate the story, I really like alien stories, I just felt that maybe the world building could’ve been expanded upon and the fated relationship between the two could’ve been more heartfelt to be convincing .

This was a great story. I didn’t know what to expect going in (like most alien romances) and it was very good. The writing is well done. The character development was good. And of course everyone needs to work on their communication skills. And stamina.

Went in blind and didn’t know at all what this would be about. I loved it. A breath of fresh air, solid and entertaining. The writing is thoughtful and funny. I love that the author went full out with her “outrageous” idea and gave us something completely new to read. Highly recommend.

I don't think I've laughed so much with a book in a long time! It's completely addictive and once we start it, we just can't put it down until we've finished it.
Cole and Grantham meet as slaves on a distant planet and it doesn't take long for Grantham to realise that they are destined for each other. He decides to keep this to himself until they both manage to escape. When he finally brings it up to Cole, he doesn't get the reaction he expected. Far from it!
Grantham, the prince of Ditali, is the sweetest, kindest soul you could ever hope to meet. Cole, a human, hates his life and definitely doesn't like men. Believe it or not, they make a wonderful couple! They'll have you laughing one minute and your heart in your throat the next.
I had the best time reading it and I really think you'll love it too!

This was a book I was recommended and it was good read. I honestly loved how real the main MC’s reactions were to what was happening. This is fated mates and a one sided insta love. Cole is a human who was traveling the galaxy with his partners when their ship gets attacked and he is the only one to survive but is sold into slavery. He ends up meeting this humanoid green alien who was also enslaved. The guy stares at him and calls him Darling. They are able to escape and that’s when Cole finds out about the “Fating” and he rejects it which causes Granthom to start to die. In order to not die on this space ship that he can’t fly, he agrees to the Fating…. And the rest is a ride! lol
