About this item
I hate Galaxy 6781. HATE it!
One last job. The bounty of a lifetime.
It wasn’t supposed to end with me on a slave planet and my entire crew dead. So, when the chance to escape presented itself, I took it. Had I known more about my fellow escapee, I might have reconsidered. When Grantham, crowned prince of Ditali, tried giving me some schpiel about how the universe has chosen us to be together, as in together ‘together’, I shot that theory down stat. I mean, I’m not even into males.
Except…now he says he’s dying. Dying in the sense that because one handsome bounty hunter rejected our so-called ‘fating’, he’s literally wasting away before my eyes. Sad, but what do I care? We’re strangers. The debris field we’re approaching can kiss my backside, right along with my lack of flight skills because as much as I’m not into males, I’m not ready to die. They’d better throw me a parade when we get to his planet. Galaxy 6781, I really, really, really hate you.
A satirical, scifi, MM romance.

The next 2/3 of the book is literally Cole and his fellow escapee Grantham being literally stuck together like dogs in heat for 12 days because the universe chose them for each other for “fating”. And if they don’t choose each other, Grantham literally dies.
So they are stuck together for 12 days having sex, while Cole is hateful and acts kind of like a jerk the entire time, meanwhile Grantham is ecstatically, happy and grateful because fate has found him his mate .
There were several aspects of this that were very humorous, and I really liked the character of Grantham .
But the whole premise of fating and then upon landing on Granthams home planet the very celebratory public viewing of the fating sex just didn’t flow for me. For once I agreed with Cole’s loudly obnoxious objections.
The epilogue was an HEA, but left a bit of a cliffhanger with the unusual way that babies are conceived and incubated on the planet.
Overall, I didn’t hate the story, I really like alien stories, I just felt that maybe the world building could’ve been expanded upon and the fated relationship between the two could’ve been more heartfelt to be convincing .
4.0 out of 5 stars close proximity for the win
5.0 out of 5 stars surprising, deep and just as funny
5.0 out of 5 stars Hilarious
Cole and Grantham meet as slaves on a distant planet and it doesn't take long for Grantham to realise that they are destined for each other. He decides to keep this to himself until they both manage to escape. When he finally brings it up to Cole, he doesn't get the reaction he expected. Far from it!
Grantham, the prince of Ditali, is the sweetest, kindest soul you could ever hope to meet. Cole, a human, hates his life and definitely doesn't like men. Believe it or not, they make a wonderful couple! They'll have you laughing one minute and your heart in your throat the next.
I had the best time reading it and I really think you'll love it too!
