    Words cannot adequately describe what I am feeling right now as a sit at the conclusion of my reading of this book. I could not put it down. I downloaded it on Kindle months ago - maybe even a year ago. I was finally compelled to start reading it on a business trip early May 2023. I know that it was time - that my heart was in a place that was longing for more of God. I've been a Christian since my teenage years, but have wandered from God more often than walking lock-step with Him. I had a life-changing event in 2005 that drew me back to Him, but even then it was not a relationship like I have now with my Creator. He has been the center of my life now for 18 years, but I have still often speculated about Heaven - fearing that it would be dull compared to life here on Earth. What will we do? How can it be exciting when we'll know everything? Will we float around with no real purpose? How can we possibly spend eternity just worshipping God? And so on ... This book is biblically and historically sound - backed by scripture in every way. I am not a Bible scholar but I have read the Bible and have learned over the years not to accept anything that I read about God without verifying it in scripture. I spent too many years reading various self-help books trying to find answers about my purpose, and finding nothing but empty promises about peace and contentment. Only God can provide that to me. This book has made me truly excited about going Home someday. I know that all of the searching I have been doing has been to fill the void in my heart that only God and the Home that He has created for me can fill. The NDEs in this book, and scriptural application backing them, have energized me like nothing I have ever read. Most importantly, this reading has made me realize that I can seek and find glimpses of God and Heaven even as I live out my days on earth. It is a pale reflection, but still a reflection. So, my goal is to find and focus on those moments that God gives me here ... to fully embrace every beautiful moment/experience and bask in the love that I know He shows me. And to share them with people along the way. Thank you, John Burke, for writing this book.

    Highly recommend this book. This piece was missing in my belief system - a true understanding of heaven as a place that is so full of joy and love it will be more fulfilling than anything we can fathom. Reading the stories of NDE’ers gives a visual and visceral understanding in a way I have never imagined or heard before. This book is a gift.

    After losing many close loved ones in my lifetime, this book is so comforting and informative and such a “must read” that I’ve ordered multiple copies to give away. Not only is it a book that shares real life stories but the author shares much information on eternity that many people never get a chance to hear or read. It paints such an encouraging picture that brings great hope and excitement to want to be able to experience it!

    I loved this book. It is by far one of the most influential books I have ever read. It has incredible wisdom and knowledge in it. I ordered one book for each of my family members. Every Christian should keep this on their nightstand right next to their Bible and reread it often to keep us all focused on what is really important. I look forward to the day I get to meet Jesus with great excitement and anticipation.

    This book not only gives details on what Heaven looks like - which richly parallels Scripture, but the most incredible realization of the INCOMPREHENSIBLE LOVE that God has for us. Our Savior will meet us, and we will melt into His boundless love and acceptance.
