Greater Than a Tourist - New Orleans, Louisiana, USA by Julie A. Sullivan offers the inside scoop on New Orleans. Most travel books tell you how to travel like a tourist. Although there is nothing wrong with that, as part of the Greater Than a Tourist series, this audiobook will give you travel tips from someone who has lived at your next travel destination. From this audiobook, you will discover advice that will help you throughout your stay. This book will not tell you exact addresses or store hours but instead will give you excitement and knowledge from a local that you may not find in other smaller print travel books.

Travel like a local. Slow down, stay in one place, and get to know the people and the culture. By the time you finish this book, you will be eager and prepared to travel to your next destination.

    One quote:
“What are some places to visit in New Orleans?
“One thing about New Orleans is this. A tourist can never get bored here …”
Billed as “Greater than a tourist” guide. If you’ve never been here, you won’t be further enlightened.

Very informative.I like the fact that you could tell the writer was from New Orleans from the words she used to describe places and things.

5.0 out of 5 stars Experience N’Awlins before you even get there!

Julie Sullivan has written a really delightful book, with so many details about places, and suggestions that only a local or frequent visitor could know! In addition, she has a warm, homey, New Orleans style of speech that only adds to the overall experience. You will feel as if you already there, and speaking with one of the locals. I have visited New Orleans, and recognized many of the places she mentioned, but there were also many that I had not seen. Now I want to go back to New Orleans to see them!
I was the editor for this book, and now look forward to narrating it as well for Audible release.
