This book offers hard truths and I love it. Great wit, easy to read, and outstanding analysis and recommendations on what takes to become financially free. Nothing in this book is a gimmick or no feelings are spared. It totally changed my outlook on my finances.

Pick this one up, it’s short to the point, and will spurn you to action.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very helpful, learaned a lot

I just finished reading Start Thinking Rich, and here are a few reasons I rated it so highly: first, the book does not assume that the reader has a significant amount of financial knowledge. I grew up without any financial education, and found the information in Start Thinking Rich accessible and easy to understand. Second, there are personal anecdotes from the authors that help give context around how they developed the 21 different truths they explain, which creates an almost conversational tone to the book- again, making it easy to read. A third reason is that each chapter ends with an actionable challenge or thought exercise to help the reader understand more about relationships and mindsets around money. Fourth, the psychological element that Dr. Klontz contributes offers a unique take on how to understand one's own relationship to money- and how to change or improve it. The book also includes plenty of ideas on where to start in becoming more aware of how to be smarter with money, as well as how to earn more. This is definitely NOT a how-to-get-rich-quick book; it acknowledges the time and discipline it takes to create wealth, but the takeaway is that it is possible. I finished the book thinking of ways I will be able to use the information, which I feel is a good sign.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stop Fooling Yourself and Start Getting Ahead

I love reading personal finance books. Even when I know the information already, I find them extremely motivational.

This book is no exception. I would say that it is very beginner friendly and it will make the points you need to hear as blunt as possible.

I enjoy the personal stories from Adrian and Brad and that, even with their bluntness, this book comes off very positive. That you are in control of your destiny and that YOU have what it takes to get there….They make it clear that there are no shortcuts, that becoming rich is usually slow, boring, and takes the right mindset.

So if you find yourself not getting ahead, please do yourself a favor and read this book. And then recognize that you have to actually TAKE ACTION and make the changes necessary in your life to reach your goals. If you read this book, you will know what steps you need to take.

If you’re trying to reach financial freedom and most importantly- time freedom, THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU! I am amazed at how easy to digest the information is. It provides simple-yet-deep tips to address our limiting beliefs about money and make the mental shifts toward financial wellness. They take the research on millionaires, how they got there, what they do and how they think, and turn it all into bite size pieces with calls to action. I listened to the audiobook and half way through I knew I needed to physically read it too, so I bought a copy as well. Literally obsessed! The audiobook is great too, btw! Not monotone or boring, how some can be. Highly recommend all around! I’m so grateful to have been introduced to Adrian & Dr. Brad, I will forever recommend this book and their teachings. Thank you both for this amazing creation!

5.0 out of 5 stars Plain talk about how anyone can become a millionaire

A very straight forward book about what it takes to become financially independent. Anyone can do it, but most aren't willing to do the work.

The book is written in such a way that virtually anyone, at any reading level, and at any level of financial acuity, can understand how to set themselves up so they never have to work again (if that's what they want). I bought a copy for every one of my adult children, and I think it's a great gift for anyone who consistently struggles to make ends meet.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy read with actionable tips!

While it is an easy read, it has no problem letting you know that you need to shape up and make those hard choices. It's great to hear how both Brad and Adrian started with nothing and now they both made big names for themselves with two totally different paths. As you read it, it's great to see the similar choices that both made to have that "Rich" mindset.
There is a lot of discussion about saving and also brining in more money. While they talk about ways to make money, part of me wishes there was even more detail about it. Maybe that would be better for another book. Thankfully, Adrian has lots of information on how to make more money. I'm looking forward to re-reading it and taking notes.
