    When JJ Arias comes out with a new book, I drop whatever I'm reading so I can start it. This story was full of everything I've come to expect from this author. Great storyline that draws me in, a little angst, amazing spice, and secondary characters that are almost as wonderful as the main. Chef Slade and Marissa were well rounded and you could feel the chemistry between them. I loved their story. For me, JJ Arias creates such great chemistry between characters and writes the most sizzling steamy scenes bar none. Marissa's group of friends and Slade's bestie Tina were so supportive, fun, and hilarious. I just really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it and all of her other books.

    This book was a really good read. The storyline was engaging; the characters were well written and each role added to the story. Both Marissa and Slade are struggling to get past their fears by rediscovering their passions. To me the story is about taking chances.... taking a chance on yourself, taking a chance on love and taking a chance on your dreams.

    I love everything by this author. It's laugh out loud funny, heartfelt, and relatable. The characters are amazing. Can't wait to read all of her books.

    I must first say that this author is hilarious. I can’t count the number of times I laughed out loud. The story and characters were great. Mouth-watering dishes were described to perfection, and the romance was beautiful. Read this book, you won’t regret it.

    J.J.'s books are always on my TBR list, I read them then add them back. Her characters are always engaging and dynamic, her plots easy to get lost in, and her humor and one-liners make my day. Whenever life gets heavy, I pick up one of her books and this one is doing a quick turn around for a re-read.

    I like the characters but wanted a little more depth in their plight with each other. The friends bear more in depth exploration. The concept is intriguing though.

    J.J. Arias can weave a tale. There is something in her storytelling that captures you and holds you until its completion. Here is a story about a Chef who expresses herself through her food. Slade, thanks to her best friend helping her out after she quit her last cooking job, got a job as a private chef. Four women were doing a get together to help out one of their own who is going through a divorce. So an exclusive mansion was rented for two weeks and Slade was going to make this experience the best she could. When Slade meets Marissa, there is some serious eye connection going on. J.J. takes us on an all girl/women adventure through cleansing and healing and finding something that was not expected. The women were all cool. The chemistry between Slade and Melissa is off the charts. It is feel good book with a loving HEA.

    Without a doubt, this wash a wonderful story full of character developments, MCs with serious hang ups and sad but true memories of loss and difficulties trying to cope. Both Slade and Marissa come from different culture backgrounds and bring the stereotypes that are often overlooked & mistrust. Learning to trust is the single greatest part of love and when the MCs have been through the wringer, those past experiences manifest themselves with low self esteem and trust issues. These 2 with the help of friends that want to see joy in their lives help them both overcome the obstacles preventing a love and bonding to happen.
