About this item
Everbound University is the mandatory graduate school for anything that goes bump in the night. Not going isn’t an option unless you want to be hunted down for illegally inhabiting the mortal world. All legacies—the descendants of the Four Houses—are required to attend because we’re all cursed, and the only way to break our curses is through binding our hearts in a quintet. Becoming part of a quintet is a dream come true. Destiny fulfilled. A gods-given, merciful blessing.
For me, it’s a hard pass. I can’t be bound to anyone else. Trust me, it wouldn’t end well. So when I’m placed in a quintet, I promptly reject all four of my matches for their own good. But these powerful, gorgeous, high-profile legacies have no idea how to handle rejection, because… The cutthroat blood fae shows me his soft side. The charming dragon shifter won't leave me alone.
The unhinged nightmare prince calls me darling. And the gorgeous ice elemental is as overprotective as he is cold. They're the kind of deadly perfection that draws attention. Which is exactly what I'm trying to avoid, since no one can know my secret. I'll do whatever it takes to make them decide I’m not worth the chase. The problem is, no matter what I do to make them hate me, it only seems to have the opposite effect…
This is a why choose/reverse harem paranormal romance. If you like fated mates, multiple POV, a variety of possessive guys who are unhinged for their girl, and an equally broken but determined FMC, this series is for you.
Intended for 18+ listeners due to strong language, violence, dark themes, and explicit sex scenes including group sex (no M/M). Please listen to the TW. No AI content here. Book 1 of 4.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW

4.0 out of 5 stars unique plot/ funny mean FMC
FMC joins a mandatory supernatural academy once her powers emerge. She was human and then her powers appeared (vs others who were born supernatural aka legacies). That’s the story she gives everyone, but it’s pretty obvious it’s not true. What exactly *is* true is not clear. She has a mission and took a blood oath to do something (or protect someone).
Good:
•Interesting premise. Moderately fast paced plot.
• Banter is well done. Funny FMC with good chemistry between the characters.
• FMC is kinda mean in a hilarious way. She pushes the guys away for their own good but they reject her rejection and are persistent and patient with her.
The “meh” (spoilers)
• I don’t understand why the guys made a sex bet (who can be intimate with her first). They each want a favor from the others, I guess, but this kind of bet is such an overused trope and felt really out of character for them. They are all insistent on not pushing her or forcing her into anything, so why the bet? Of course it blows up in their face.
• You really don’t find out anything about the FMC. What’s her blood oath for? What’s her actual overall mission? Why does she hate to be touched? Where and how did she grow up? Who is she protecting? What kind of magic caster is she? Absolutely nothing gets answered and it’s very, very frustrating. I like when a book ends with a good portion of mystery still intact, but to give NO backstory and answer absolutely nothing about the main character feels unnecessarily confusing.
Sex ????????????/5. Two scenes. Praise and begging (on the mmc’s part). No MM.

5.0 out of 5 stars Haven’t written a review in a while and this one needed to be done.
The Men: 3 out of the 4 fight for her. The entire time. The 4th doesn’t and again he has his reasons which are revealed in the 2nd book. Yes I read it already! Each guy has a unique character that it’s easy to tell them a part. They each have their own curse they have to deal with and it’s interesting how the author uses that against them. The possessiveness is the absolute right amount and always threatening to kill anyone that goes near her or pisses her off is just perfect.
All in all, I highly recommend this series. It got me not only out of a book slump but I can’t stop thinking about it. Which says something because I’ve read a lot of really good books in the past year or so and didn’t do any reviews on them. Dive in and enjoy the girl finally rejecting the guys and the guys not taking no for an answer. (In the best possible way, not a creepy way.) the author did a great job distinguishing that.

This is the best book I have read in such a long time. I don’t give 5 stars out often, but this book had everything I need in a story. I could not put it down and I did not want it to end. Luckily book 2 is out so I can keep going.
The MMCs were perfect, they have a great dynamic together because they hate each other, but also respect one another. They are obsessed with Mavin, they can’t figure her out and it just makes them more obsessed. They all have very different personalities and backgrounds and it makes it so they are all your favorite for different reasons.
Mavin was amazing. I love a strong FMC and her secrets were driving me crazy. I wanted to know about her past as much as her quintet. I wanted to know everything about her just like her quintet. She is so powerful and I love how she made the whole school think she is a weak shy wallflower and her quintet has thought the same. I love how she has this huge flaw of touch aversion and all her quintet wants to do is touch her, but they respect her boundaries. Their whole dynamic was chef’s kiss.
The plot of the story was so well thought out. I didn’t even realize who the bad guys were the whole story and I didn’t understand Mavin’s mission either, but I loved how we kept up the overall plot, but was focused on the quintet and them trying to win Mavin over and protect her without also knowing she is so powerful. I can’t wait to see what the gods have in store for our quintet!
