    I don't want to sound mean, but I'm not sure why or how this book got published. It's well intended, certainly, and maybe a good choice if you are the target audience, whomever that is.
    This guidebook reads, to me, like a long note you might get from your mom before you come for a visit to her new digs. Odd, you could say, but not in the way that "Off the Beaten Path" or "Atlas Obscura" are. Maybe that's because it feels like it's written more in the first and second persons than the third person. Not for me, by maybe for you.
