Who are you when life is steady? Who are you when storms come?
“With this book, Tim encourages readers to keep moving and stay strong while battling life’s obstacles.”—Cam Newton, quarterback for the Carolina Panthers
Most of us have been on the receiving end of rejection, a broken dream, or heartbreak. And while this is not an easy space to go through, when we are grounded in the truth, we can endure the tough times.
In this powerful book, Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow passionately shares glimpses of his journey staying grounded in the face of disappointment, criticism, and intense media scrutiny.
Tebow talks about what he’s learned along the way, building confidence in his identity in God, not the world. This moving book also features practical wisdom from Scripture and insights gained from others who have impacted him in life-changing ways.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the BEST Christian Inspiration Books I've Ever Read...Tim Tebow is a Great Inspiration!
Even from a very young age, Tim Tebow has identified himself as a Christian and always wanted to help people. His goal was to be a quarterback and he wanted to work hard and do everything he could to fulfill his dream. He played college football for the Florida Gators, won the Heisman Trophy in 2007, and was later drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2010. After playing for four different NFL teams, he decided to play baseball instead and plays in the minor leagues for the New York Mets.
During his time in the NFL, Tim Tebow had difficulty proving that he was the best quarterback for the job and became discouraged after getting cut or traded repeatedly. It was during this time that he relied on his faith to get him through the tough times and to not give up. He prayed to God that everything that happened was for a reason and that He had a plan. Tim Tebow likes to say that "identity comes not necessarily from who we are, but from whose we are." He feels that we aren't defined by our occupations; rather, we are identified as children of God.
"Shaken" is not an autobiography so you won't find detailed information about Tim Tebow from a young age through present day. There are many anecdotes that back up his Christian beliefs so you will hear some of his stories about his time in the NFL, as well as in other stages of life. This book is considered an inspirational read and one that encourages you to turn to God in good times and in bad and to guide you to stay positive in the "midst of life's storms."
If you are hoping for a sports book, "Shaken" is not what you want. However, if you are interested in a good Christian inspiration book that will help you to slow down and think more deeply about yourself and your relationship with God, this book is an excellent read. I feel that this book is mostly Christian-based but he uses his life experiences, which include his time in the NFL, to back up the points he's trying to make. While I could've read this book within two days, I chose to read it slowly so I could absorb it and ponder what I had just read. I took my time and spent four wonderful, thought-provoking days within these pages. His words touched me so much that I cried several times because, while "Shaken" does not hold all of the answers to our problems, it encouraged me to think deeply about both good and bad times and has helped to start the healing process with some issues I have been grappling with for several years. It's not a book that will instantly fix your problems but it can help you come to terms with things you've been dealing with and know that God always has your back.
"Shaken" is one of the best Christian inspiration books I've ever read and I'm glad I purchased it! This book is one that I won't read just once and I will definitely pick it up when I need some encouragement or just when I want to review some of the pages I bookmarked. I purchased the hardcover copy and am glad I did because I will proudly display this book on my bookshelf. I've already pre-ordered the Shaken Bible Study and am looking forward to digging deeper into this book with it. Regardless of if you, or someone you know, is a Tim Tebow fan, this book would make a great gift for a friend or family member who needs some inspiration. I'd even recommend it for teenagers who are interested in this book since there is no profanity. "Shaken" has made me a Tim Tebow fan for life and I look forward to re-reading this book as well as reading any other Christian books he writes. I love his positive and encouraging personality and urge anyone interested in this book to buy it!

I don't make a lot of money, but after I read this book I bought copies for my entire office. I genuinely believe that there isn't a single person out there that could not get something out of reading Shaken. This book is perfect for ALL AGES and is a breath of fresh air in a world that is drowning in negativity.

This phrase, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of things that are shaken — that is, things that have been made —in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain. (Hebrews 12:27, ESV)
"Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize." Heb. 12:26-27, KJV
"Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done."
Luke 22:42, KJV
His friends call him 'Timmy.' The diminutive has stuck over the years for those who know him best. It actually fits better than 'Tim' the more manly version of Timothy, a name beloved throughout Christendom for the young man who served Paul during his years of missionary work throughout the Roman Empire.
'Tim' is the football moniker, suited to the mayhem monsters that rule the Sunday professional gridirons of America, the fields where this man cemented his love and devotion for Jesus to the world.
Testimonies of his sort litter the halls of Christian and secular libraries across the earth, including Academic bastions like Harvard and Yale, confirming the reality of Jesus and His Word.
And Tim's remembrances of God's leading through his spectacular life are just as compelling, revealing God's impervious concerns to making His love known through the challenges of each age and all attending consequential barriers.
Do not be misled by the biographical stories he relates, as heart-rending as they be. They are all for the purpose of sharpening the edge of the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. And Tim wields his whetstone expertly, refining the razor edges of God's double-edged sword, piercing to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, of bone and marrow, to the very thoughts and intents of each reader.
All who pass this way shall not only be invigorated by the telling of these tales, they shall finish with their own challenges to life empowering them to seek His Glory.
An especial well done to author A.J. Gregory for her exquisite piloting of this craft through waters deep, wide, high, low and shallow. The servant is ever the greatest.
