About this item
Savannah Grace is on top of the world. She's back to selling out stadium tours and winning Grammys and she's just arrived home from her honeymoon after marrying the love of her life…nothing could burst this bubble.
Except, of course, her estranged family.
When her younger sister Cassidy shows up on her doorstep, in need of help and thoroughly—inexplicably—pissed off, the whole household gets turned on its end. Where did she spring from and why the heck is she so damn mad?
Savannah's nanny Lane has grown all the way up, from a cute punk kid to a classic handsome heartbreaker, a long trail of short flings in their wake. They don't have a second to waste on Cassidy, after all, she's rude, ignorant, hot-tempered, and kind of a brat. It's just…does their boss's little sister have to be so hot?
Of course, things could always get worse. Cassidy has one plan and one plan only: for her sister to turn her into a star.

3.0 out of 5 stars I am torn and Graceless.
However, with Graceless I had some really important problems.
Firstly,
This is rather a YA novel until half of it, than a grown-up romance. Cassidy's behaviour is so childish it feels like she's a rebelling 17 throughout the whole book - even if she has some smut scenes.
I couldn't make myself believe this supposed to be a 23-24 year old person because of her teenager-like behaviour.
So if this was a YA fiction, I would've given it 4 points, because the coming-of-age aspect and character growth is worth it to read.
Secondly,
For me the romance was a bit forced and really unexpected. Maybe it is a problem with me, you may argue but I didn't get the spark between the two characters until the point of Cassidy coming on Lane.
By the end of the novel, however it was sweet but still really child-like, like a first real infatuation.
Thirdly,
and this was also a problem with Falls from Grace for me: The romance and the individual growth somehow cannot happen the same time as the other.
I mean it like: until 40% of this book, it's about how Cassidy wants to be a star like Savannah and how she is angry at her, from 40 to 66% it's the romance aspect with Lane and basically close to zero mention of the goal of the character, from 66 to 85% again personal growth without not so much attention to the love.
In this aspect however, the first book was worse because the second half of it was basically the third act break-up where Brynn tried to find herself and I think the ratio is much better in Graceless but it still bothered me.
Some impeccable takes are though:
1) Rosalie - Oh my God, I am so waiting for her character arc in and her story in the next book. She was definitely my favourite character in this one.
2) The mention of post-partum - Yes, yes! Finally seeing this in a really loving relationship and a secure and trustworthy family is everything my inner mental health interest wished for.
3) Non-binary MC - Now please hear me out
I am not really a fan of all the characters are LGBTQIA+ like books because I believe it's not really like that in real life and I think it creates a bubble for a lot of people
BUT
Reading about Lane gave me perspective and the whole book felt so safe for them in that aspect. I even Googled non-binary because I am from a quite conservative background and I don't really understand everything but this is the representation that our community needs.
Overall,
I really, really liked this book and genuinely started to like Cassidy by the end of it, but I cannot look away from all it's flaws. If I gave Falls from Grace a 5, this is not a 4 for me unfortunately.
But please guys, if you got here reading my review, read it yourself because it's a great book and maybe the things that bothered me won't bother you that much! <3
P.S.: No pregnant smut again pleeeeeeeease! :D
