This boss-ass-beeyach isn't taking crap from anyone while looking damn good doing it. The world is changing, and I wouldn't want them to forget that this broad is now in charge, high heels and all.

    If you are looking for a gripping, binge worthy dark romance, this is it! This is a wonderful start to a new series. The FMC is strong, confident, and ruthless. The men in her life are complex and interesting. There is sex, murder, and betrayal…. Just right for when you are looking for a little darkness and danger.

    There is not much romance in this book, but it sets the stage nicely for the next. I’m so glad the series is complete, because this ends on a note that will leave you dying for more!

    There is nothing I love more then a badass main female. Her IDGAF attitude makes it that much better. Her relationship with the other characters is so different depending on whom it is and I love the different dynamics.

    The slow build here with the relationships is beautiful. Even though the story only covers a few days, there is a deep building of characters and how they flow together. Ready to grab the next one!

    I usually don’t go for mafia storylines because I’m often thinking how many ways can you tell a mafia story and keep it interesting, you know. But Elizabeth did an impeccable job with this story. It wasn’t cheesy or over the top. She draws you into the the mindset of each character and creates understanding and awareness. The FMC, Astin, is a total bad ass and I love that she’s strong yet still has some level of vulnerability. She made each character real and three dimensional. There were many aspects that were so relatable causing you to really immerse yourself and become completely invested in everyone’s wellbeing. And the six men charged with protecting her and keeping her safe are all so yummy I’m hoping this will be a reverse harem type of deal. I like them all so I’m all for a why choose situation. ????

    I am eagerly awaiting the second installment to this story. I honestly am bummed we have to wait. This story reads like a movie as it pulls you along and makes you a part of the experience. Simply amazing storytelling at its finest. Well done Elizabeth. Please write faster lol. Ten stars hun!!!

    D@mn! I don’t write book reviews. This is my first. Yet, there is no way not to relay how amazing this book is. The imagery of the book was amazing and the attention to details was incredible! It was like a vivid movie playing in my head while reading this. I could visualize everything! This is a book you can tell a lot of effort was put into. I honestly picked it because of the title and I’m so glad I did! The book has everything: twists & turns, humor, sadness, surprise, horror, excitement, heat and mystery. Aston is a total bad@as bombshell that you just love. And don’t worry, you never have those moments where you yell insults at how stupid the heroine is, instead you’re thinking damn, get it girl!!- she is your go getter, knife wielding, gun slinging, smart-as-a-whip, beautiful firecracker with a heart of gold, that knows who she is and what she wants. She stands up for herself and yet still shows a vulnerable side. I love the relationship she has with every character and being able to see it from each perspective - each character has so much dimension to them. The enemies definitely just played a secondary role in my opinion, and I liked it. There are just so many facets to this book that I would have never expected and I loved it! Honestly, if the book doesn’t grip you at the beginning, keep reading! I was shouting, gasping, cringing and laughing throughout this book.

    Astin is my current favorite FMC. As the newly appointed underboss of the Caprioni family, she certainly shakes things up. If you can’t get with the program and accept a female in power then you’re likely to find yourself unalived. Astin is definitely making her mark on the underworld around her with the help of her six lieutenants that had father handpicked for her. They soon discover a sinister plot that shakes the foundation of what they knew and make plans to exact revenge. I can’t wait to see what happens next!
