    This book was very well written and caught my interest early on in the story. The characters are believable and interesting and I really enjoyed the story progression. Well done Lise Gold, I liked this one so much, I’m going to read another one of your books next.

    This book is not only a beautiful romance, it is a story about learning to accept your past and move on. When Lori and Gemma meet, it's definitely not a "meet cute" scenario. Gemma is released from prison and offered a chance to reestablish herself into society through a rehab program as part of her probation. Lori has recently inherited a house/farm with an orchard, all if which have been neglected for a year and require some TLC. Lori is convinced to hire on Gemma through the rehab program which includes room and board at Lori's house. As they start to work together they also start to learn about each other and of course develop some serious chemistry. That is an important part if the story. But so is both of them learning to deal with their pasts and discovering that what is important is the present and the future. Forgiveness, including of themselves, is required to move forward. All of this is told with beautifully written real people with flaws and mistakes, a touching love story, and a wonderful cast of characters. And watching Gemma learn to accept that she too deserves happiness is a wonderful thing. Everything together makes for another five star read from Lise Gold!

    Enjoyable read with relatable characters. Loved the Sonora desert setting in Sedona. Feel good story with nice ending. Happy reading!

    Lise Gold has done it again spinning an unusual tale in a beautiful way! I love the way she writes just as much as the story. There is humor, deep emotion, purpose, and authenticity. Keep the creative voice of your writing coming. I’m very much looking forward to reading your next book!

    Lise Gold has a way with words that have you questioning “What would you do?”.
    She has taken a story about a convicted felon and has brought it to the forefront.
    Lori has inherited her Aunt and Uncle’s fruit farm. The timing has worked out as her life is in shambles. Her relationship with her ex ended and so to the control she had over her. Since her ex was also her boss, leaving the law office where she was an attorney was the best thing since both were dragging her down. Starting a new life on a farm was a big undertaking. When her best friend suggest getting help with a rehab program for convicts who are getting out and who come highly recommended to be a good fit. When Gemma shows up with her parole officer, life for both of them is going to change. Gemma is appreciative to Lori for this great opportunity. The kindness this women is showing has her ready to prove to Lori, her parole officer and herself that she is going to make this work. But what happens between these two women causes concern from not only Gemma’s parole officer but from themselves. This is great storytelling at its best.

    It’s been a minute since I’ve read one of Lise Gold’s books but I think this is the best one I’ve read. There are some angsty moments but generally speaking it’s a well written romance with a HEA. Exactly what I’m looking for in my minimal spare time reading.

    I liked it, but it needs "more." More storyline, more build up, more realistic dialogue. It is an easy, feel good. I am hoping that Gold will grow, as the basics are good.

    I enjoyed this book, it was a little more gritty than the usual romance, but that actually made it more believable that Gemma was an ex con. This was a good balance of happy, and positive, but with a little hurt and realism rounding it out without making it dark. Which overall kept the tone light and easy to read without being depressing or stressful.
