    I have only been a Christian for the last four years. Before I met Jesus, I believed in the universe and all that goes with it, love and light, manifesting dreams. I was sold into that and felt I did not need a religion to define me because god was everywhere and we were all connected.

    And then I saw a video of someone sharing the gospel and it was eye opening. And then I saw more videos of people sharing their faith and I kept hearing about how Jesus changed lives. And then I found myself looking closer and wanting to learn more about this Jesus.

    Fast forward to now and I am fully committed to Jesus as my lord and savior. He has changed me and made me a new person. My life is 180 degrees different than what it was before Jesus. I used to drink and swear a lot, I was not a nice person and was completely self absorbed. I was fully in the grips of the enemy.

    I wish I had read this book years ago. This book reads like a conversation with a dear friend who patiently, clearly and without judgement explains the good news of Jesus and his free gift of salvation. Not only does he explain the gospel, he shares his own experience of why it is so important. Especially since there is a villain in everyone’s story.

    JP gives you real world examples of how Satan uses the different tactics to lead you into sin, one small step at a time. He also equips you with scripture on how to avoid the pitfalls and traps as well as live in harmony with God under his grace.

    This book contains the most well-rounded information on spiritual warfare that I have ever read in my 25 years of learning about this topic. JP really wrote the Goldilocks book on spiritual warfare in all the best ways! This book is very balanced with reference to scripture, Biblical history, personal experience, etc which make the information in this book so easy to understand for those just beginning to learn about spiritual warfare, yet enriching even for those well-versed in the subject. There is just enough information here to present clearly and undoubtedly that we are in a spiritual war and the dangers that come with it, but not in a way that is fear inducing (because GOD WINS!) and not so sugarcoated that it removes the urgency and importance of the message. The information is tied to personal stories of being a father, husband, pastor, mentor, and friend, and I believe these help readers of denominational backgrounds relate to and understand the topic and find common ground in their beliefs on spiritual warfare. Even after years of research and spiritual warfare ministry experience, I found myself having “aha” moments in every single chapter!

    This book is truly for everyone, and spiritual warfare is most definitely one of the most important subjects with which Christians should familiarize themselves with. I give my wholehearted recommendation for this book to anyone whose story has a villain (everyone)! Read this book, and learn more about fighting back against the villain today!

    I gave this book 5 stars. This book discusses a topic not highly discussed by Christians in such a thorough manner : our villain. JP divides the book into 3 parts. . The book begins by identifying the enemy and the many misconceptions about the devil. He also describes what he feels hell will be like ( definitely not the description some people give: "well I will be with my party friends"). The second part discusses the many ways they attack. We discover it isn't always the way we think but he also offers insight into how we can be seen as a better pick for attack. The third part talks about how we can fight back. The main ideas in our fight are Word (Scripture), Worship and Prayer. .

    I recommend this book for believers as well as non believers. I thought the book was well written and easy to understand. The book is written with Scripture backup in each section. The third section in which he discusses how we can figh back truly shows how Jesus can be our guide. I will be recommending this book to my small group for study. I think it a practical handbook on a complex concept.

    This book is POWERFUL! JP has a gift to guide and teach with simplicity and understanding but deep and true.
    Spiritual warfare is a hot topic. Before you continue to throw around the phrase, "the enemy is attacking me" pick this up and read it. Audible it. However which way it's easiest for you to hear this. That phrase is true however, this book breaks down what that really means to be under attack, how often, who and why, and what steps to take to stand firm against and fight.
    Get to know who the enemy is and how he operates while learning practical steps to take to be aware and combat this battle that is happening all around us at all times!
    I will be making sure all my family and friends read this!!

    JP is one of the most influential Christian author for today's youth. I'm a 40 year old mom and pick up any of his books to know 1. how to help my kids navigate their teen through adult years, and 2. navigate my own challenges. It really is for anyone. I've been through enough spiritual warfare in my life that this was enlightening and really helpful in moving forward.

    Your Story Has a Villian is an incredible book about the attacks of the enemy and how to combat those attacks with scripture. I really enjoyed how JP provided ways that the enemy tries to sneak in and destroy us with simple ways to fight back.

    This book has totally transformed my view of spiritual warfare and I feel better prepared to fight the enemy!

    This book provides such a clear definition of spiritual warfare, the tactics to look for and methods to help combat these very tactics. JP does an excellent job providing such a simple way to understand what we are Christians face every day. I cannot recommend this book more and will be one for continual reference as needed.
