About this item

"Betrayal, deceit, and friendship - ZETAS TILL WE DIE has it all...an engaging, can't-put-it-down thriller that twists and turns through these women's lives then and now, making you wonder how well you know anyone." - Darby Kane, bestselling author of Pretty Little Wife

SISTERS…FOR LIFE.

It’s been ten years since Priscilla and her Zeta Phi Zeta sorority sisters graduated college. Ten years since they were all in the same room together. Ten years since one of them died. And now Lupé’s killer has been released from prison on a technicality, days before their ten-year reunion.

Priscilla decides that the party must go on; Lupé would have wanted it to. And besides, an epic reunion bash might be the perfect distraction. Back together, the Zetas party like it’s 2012, and it’s wild, just the way it used to be. Maybe too wild. At least everyone makes it out alive this time…or so they think.

When one of them doesn’t return home after the party, Priscilla begins to realize that there might be more to Lupé’s murder and that someone is out for blood. With the murderer in their midst circling closer and closer, the Zetas are forced to confront what really happened the night Lupé died—and the secrets each of them swore to keep.

    4.0 out of 5 stars A FUN CONTEMPORARY MURDER/THRILLER!

Priscilla (Prissy) and her five Zeta sorority sisters have stayed good friends since their college days and now Prissy is hosting a huge reunion for many of the other women who attended their university. The main reason for the reunion is a special tribute to their other beloved sister (Lupe) who lost her life in a fatal push down the stairs by a young man who was obsessed with Lupe and was seen covered in blood fleeing their sorority house.

All the women now have careers and have financially done very well for themselves and live very high end life styles but not without many problems and secrets that will cause anger, mistrust, jealousy and contempt among the women. When after the night of the reunion one of the sisters goes missing and strange events start to follow them especially Prissy, she knows she must get to the bottom of why someone seems to be stalking all the women, and then another of the sisters is found dead although the police don't think the events are related except all the sisters and their husbands are probable suspects even though Prissy fears someone is out to destroy all the sisters who were home years ago on the night their beloved Lupe was murdered.

This was such an entertaining and fun novel that never had a boring moment and also had plenty of suspenseful twists and turns. A few of the women were very annoying and obnoxious yet that made the book more enjoyable. (Characters one loves to hate!) The girls were so materialistic and self-centered and quite the drama queens that it was hard to swallow sometimes,
although I'm sure this was the effect the authors were looking for and it was laughable at times unless I was rolling my eyes at their selfishness but underneath all the facades the sisters did really love one another.
Some parts of the book I really disliked were quite a few of the in your face sex scenes and talk that were pretty crude and unnecessary. There wasn't any type of romance just very descriptive talk and it was a little disappointing for me but I'm sure many readers won't have a problem with it and I guess my gripe was that there was too much of it throughout the book and I wish it could have come down a few notches but that's just my opinion!

The last third of the book took on some serious notes and personal struggles that were unexpected and appreciated. I had a hard time putting this book down because something was always changing and the low-key suspense was hanging at the end of every chapter which I loved. I definitely recommend this fun mystery/thriller to all readers who enjoy fast paced drama queen stories!

I want to thank the publisher "Harlequin Trade Publishing" and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this novel and any thoughts or opinions expressed are unbiased and mine alone!

    I have given a rating of 3 1/2 OBSESSIVE STALKING ???????????????? STARS!!

About 1/3 of the way into the book, I just knew who the killer was. However, I was wrong. I was right to be suspicious of the person whom I was suspicious of, but that person was not the killer. Good book overall, that kept my interest peaked.

Overall I liked the book . It was pretty standard fare for a thriller book. It delivers on the red herrings and tense scenes.

It's been 10 years since one of the Zeta sisters was murdered. Her murderer has just been released from prison on a technicality and the sisters are gathered at Prissy's house to celebrate Lupe's life. Things go awry quickly when Prissy wakes up the next morning to the news one of her sisters didn't come home after the party. From here we dive into the mystery of finding the missing sister and unraveling ten years of secrets.
What I liked about the book
The characters were diverse, We had multiple representations here POC, LBGTQ+ and loner misunderstood persons.
I liked the dual timelines and different POV's
I liked the undercurrent of how well do we actually know someone? The title says Zetas Till We Die and we get to see that being "sisters' doesn't mean a person knows someone as well as they think. I enjoyed this aspect way more than the "mystery"
The main character's counseling job was interesting and I liked the scenes we got a glimpse of that.

What I liked a little less

I would have like a bit more character development. The main character Prissy felt a bit one dimensional and felt a bit apathetic to other characters. She was pretty self absorbed for someone who dedicates her life to counseling other people.
There was a situation that added nothing to the story other than to try to garner sympathy for the main character., but the emotion didn't come through on page.
The other sorority sisters were pretty much the same,, One has kids and she's pretty much reduced to that. Her whole personality. Plenty of people with kids have something going on other than being a parent.
All of the characters were described throughout the book the same from beginning to end. I don't know about anyone else, but I certainly wasn't the same person at 31 that I was at 21. Other than their careers they pretty much were the same women they were in college.

I did enjoy the book. It was a fine read and I think with a little tweaking this book could be amazing. It's got all the elements that make a good thriller. With some character development and pacing tweaks this would be a solid 4*.

This is my second read of this sister author duo, and I really enjoyed it. Told in two timelines, past and present, I thought that while this took a little while to set up, the dual timeline worked well here. I was vested from the start and did not see the ending coming at all. I am looking forward to seeing what this duo writes next!
