About this item
I'm addicted to my stalker.
He watches me at night, sneaking in through my living room window and making my blood turn to ice. I feel him all around me as chills snake down my spine. Each night he becomes bolder, getting closer and welcoming himself into my bedroom, feeding his addiction.
When I feel the warmth of his skin brushing over mine, I pretend to sleep, terrified of what he plans to do with me. But when he touches me… my whole body comes alive.
I've never seen his face, and don't even know his name, but I want to. Every part of me knows this is wrong, but I can't bring myself to lock the window, to tell him no.
He thrills me, but living life on the edge doesn't come without consequences.
He's sick in the head, addicted to this infatuation, and obsessed with his messed-up mind games. But maybe I'm just as sick as he is because, whether I like it or not… I'm addicted to my stalker.

It also, doesn't help I could not stand Kyah, she is made out like she is supposed to he tough and street wise, yet she is a blithering i*iot. Completely oblivious to basically everything with zero common sense or self preservation.
Then we have so many various big bads, that really were complete wastes of time. Like we have this big build up, your life is in danger. Oh wait, nevermind, they’re taken care of. And again, just kidding, they are gone too.

Then you have the whole various perspectives. Which I generally love. But not when it is done to simply try and add mystery and not give us a real perspective. The thoughts are skewed and make no sense for the character. In Crew's case, there is no way he is not having thoughts about the predicament he has put Kyah in. Even him just having thoughts about fixing things and her being in danger, would have worked, no specifics needed to be given. What is the point in giving us a perspective, when we are not really getting their real perspective?
Then to steer to try and steer us off course, you give Reid and Alex perspectives, like they are supposed to be different people. I had this pegged hella early on, but expected that he was going to have a split personality or something of the like. Since they were written as two completely different personalities. Of course this wasn't the case. And again, from "Reid's" perspective, his thoughts just didn't make sense. Since of course he would be thinking she didn't yell his name while hiding in the closet. It would have been better to simply not have the three other perspectives and simply called Reid's chapters "Stalker" or something of the like. Then found a way to talk around what he would be thinking about. Like in the closet having a thought about "she will pay for that" without actually saying what.
Then you have numerous plot holes and inappropriate reactions. Big Jim: my employee who I viewed as a son, was just offed in my studio and they haven't caught who did it. But sure, I am going to leave my other employee, who I view as a daughter, here all alone.
Or they are so worried about safety they leave her working alone and leave the back door unlocked. Just really so many things that didn't jive or make sense.
Not to go on and on, so lastly there was a while ploy point left open. "Our VP was offered, but we are just going to let it go." They would have had the same footage she did, there is no way they don't continue looking into what happened to Viper... and let's not forget that apparently Reid can teleport, as much as the one instance was answered, the other times were not.
I am giving three stars, instead of two, because I normally love this author. I love dark books, this should have been so much more and yet, I couldn't get done with it fast enough. To the point I started skimming at the end, I have never done that with one of her books... This book had so much potential, it just needs to be much more fleshed out. Not to mention with everything going on, needed to be at least a duet, if not a trilogy. That or some of the big bads need to be removed, since here they are pointless. To much trying to happen and just simply not enough time for it to play out...
Here is to hoping this was a one off......
